trawled some charity shops today and found a great supply of knitting needles in one shop (in every shape, size and make possible - all 50p a pair), but nothing in any of the others - no wool to be seen!

A couple of shops looked as if I was completely off my trolley :D

ebay seems to be a good place to source wool - can anyone recommend anywhere else???

Re: wool supplies! I wonder if there's no wool in the charity shops because the Wooligans have nabbed it all! Most of my wool has come from a stash of wool that I've had for years; all leftovers from various projects. Some of it is over thirty years old! R.Mac - do you have any relatives who knit who may be able to spare you some wool?

I must confess to having bought some wool today! I know it's not very OS but I intend to knit most of my birthday and Christmas presents this year so that's my excuse for not resisting the urge to visit the wool shop. I bought some Bonus DK for 99p for 100gms. I couldn't decide which colour to get so, guess what? I bought 4 - dark pink and light pink, lavender and purple! I nearly bought two more but decided that confessing to OSers that I bought four was bad enough! The colours look great together, though.

Anyway, thanks to those who have updated or confirmed their totals. I shall liaise with Lainey this evening before one of us posts the latest list.

Now I have a dilemma - do I do the filing in my office or do I knit? I know which one I should do!

    Will catch up later.

    Hi

Just a brief one to say I have posted squares off today. I have now made 6 HTA squares and 3 Smokey squares. I also put some black wool in the post for artystitches aka Naomi . Been a busy day , filloing a skip and taking friend for radiotherapy. But made almost another whole square whilst sat in hospital waiting room.

I've completed another square for Smoky. That's it for me, I've run out of wool. So 6 all in total. I'll post them off this week to Moiliere. Can't wait to see the finished pics. Everyone has done such a tremendous job. :A

Good morning Wooligans – here are the latest totals as at 5.45 this morning! (I shall post the new totals first thing every morning from now on).

The figures are in three groups: the first is for HTA, the second is for Smoky and the Smokelets and the third is the squares Lainey has received so far. Thanks for the list, Lainey!

    TOTALS:

    113 HTA
135 SMOKY and the SMOKELETS (68 received so far)

that’s only 13 needed for 2nd HTA blanket, and only 35 needed to have enough for Smoky and her 3 Smokelets’ blankets.

We started this exactly four weeks ago today! We have completed 259 squares which works out at just over 64 squares a week and just over 9 squares a day. Considering you all have work and family commitments, this is amazing. You should all be immensely proud of yourselves.

    Many thanks to you all!
