I've got another 3 scarves started all in different patterns cos I wanted to try something new hehe, can't stick with one thing for too long

Hi Jellybeans - hope you are well? I don't think there's a time limit for the scarves and it would probably work out cheaper, postage-wise, to send more than one each time. Make sure you post photos of all your different scarves when you have finished them. I'd love to see what patterns you did!

    Here's the latest update:

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats for Sainsbury's campaign for which the closing date is 17th October!

  • hi all
jellybeans i think this lot of challenges for LH run untill the end of september.

i'm knitting some 'boobs' at the moment, i brought some pink wool on sunday at the car boot. im on my 3rd one at the moment, i'm going to send them unstuffed as i memember lou saying people at the meeting dont mind filling them and it wont half add to the postage if i fill them first.

well done again on the totals:T
    SPC~12 ot 124

I just got a knitting pack from innocent sent to "Ianna" (it may shock you that Ianna is not actually my real name or anything like it). I never requested one and don't know how they've found my address. It's a mystery!

Oh and 27 hats atm. Can't find my camera but will let you see photos of the glorious little things when I do :)
  • Thanks Kathy and Mrs MP, I shall hopefully have enough scarves to send off a parcel to LH by the end of September, I like knitting them so shall probably do more after that too ;)
I'm ok, just not enough time to do everything! so haven't been able to check up with each of the groups/forums. I do however keep track of my knitting (and also the plants I've grown) on a blog- mainly so my Mum who lives 3 hours from me can see, here it is so you can see the patterns for scarves I'm trying too, the one using 2 strands of DK wool is nice and lacy and chunky and knits up quickly!

Does anyone else keep a blog? I belong to so many sites I've given up posting photos of what I've done on each of them lol!

What a lovely blog, Jellybeans! Your knitting is excellent and I love the colours and patterns you have used. Is the kitten yours? He's gorgeous!

Your cards are fantastic, too - you are very talented.

I don't keep a blog at the moment. I've been thinking about it, though!

Ianna - I wonder where they got your address then? That's a real mystery. It might be worth asking them. I shall look forward to seeing your hat photos!

Mrs Moneypenny - I think there's a photo on LH somewhere showing Lou's youngest daughter with a box full of boobs. She loves stuffing them, apparently!

I had forgotten that the challenges finish at the end of this month so I'm glad you were able to tell Jellybeans!

I'll update a little later on; I have to go out shortly.

Jellybeans your scarves are really good and I like the patterns you have used. Well done. What a good idea a blog is to keep your mum up to date with what you are up to ;)

Kathy I saw that pic too, but goodness knows where,I find it a bit difficult to find my way round the LH site.:o
I havent anything ready to be added to the totals I'm afraid, I seem to have lots on needles but none finished....I really must pull myself together and get sorted, right thats it, my target for tonight is to finish at least 1 thing I have started, I have on needles mittens, scarf, boob, and a matinee jacket....sooo watch this space :rotfl:

mrs-moneypenny yes the challenges finish on 29th Sept, but I think we can still send the same things, someone will always be in need of them.
The boobs cost a fortune to send stuffed, I sent my pimped one and it was £1.45 first class, had to send it 1st as it needed to be there by the judging date which was either 14th or 16th Sept. Wont it be nice to see them all together ? :D

I really must get all the squares sorted out and send them off to Belinda, there are about a dozen now.
Must admit starting to knit again has been a joy to me, wonder what I used to do before I started again??? I am so pleased I found this site :D

I'm locked out of wooligans - can't remember my password or ID. D'oh! Can someone give me their email address and I'll email the hat photos?
