Hi Kathy, can you update me with 1 STC hat and 1 pair of mittens please.
I cleared MIL's knitting box out on Saturday and found all sorts of goodies, patterns mainly, and among them was an odd ounce book, which is where the mittens pattern was, but no hat to go with them so I improvised, I used the pattern for the stc ribbed one, only on larger needles and more stitches.
It took 100g for mittens, hat and a square.

Off to the Post Office now to post a parcel for LH,

HI all - I've just logged in quickly - my computer has been under a dust sheet all day because we've been decorating my office and we're still putting everything back where it came from! DH is on the phone so I thought I'd grab a minute on here.

I'll update tomorrow when things are less chaotic here!

PenPen - it's great to have you with us! I bet the board guiding is very time consuming, isn't it? Do join Loving Hands (www.lovinghands.org.uk). It's a great site - you may like to do the daily quiz on there and see if you can beat Mommabear who seems to be unbeatable!

When I update tomorrow I'll add your name to the list then just let us know on here what your running totals are, but PLEASE don't think you have to do loads and loads. As I've said before, we all have busy lives and other commitments and even one preemie hat is worthwhile. If you're board guiding as well as running a home and family and working you have a very busy life!

Will come back tomorrow when, hopefully, things are back to normal. I must say my office looks luuuuverly and worth all the hassle!

Hi everyone - I just typed a long post - complete with update - and it disappeared!

Anyway, thanks for the updates and I'm sorry I haven't been on here much lately (due to decorating around my computer!).

Pippa - you did really well with 100gms of wool!

Craftlady - your Innocent totals are really good - puts mine to shame.

I haven't had much time to knit lately but will be putting that right this evening!

    Anyway, here's the update:

The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats for Sainsbury's campaign for which the closing date is 17th October!

My daughter was 5lb at birth (22 years ago). I made her a dress using smaller needles than the DK pattern (12s and 13s I think rather than 8s and 10s).
    Fitted her nicely.
Then it fitted her 15inch doll a treat!!!!!

remember some babies really do fit into the palm of a hand and look more like barbie dolls in size.
