    Morning all

Can't believe I've been awake since 6.45 on my day off! DS has been awake for ages and is dressed and full of it. he's just like me, as soon as it's light he's awake.

Fell asleep last night watching Local Hero in bed. Do so love that film. Plan today to clean this pit of a house as much as I can. At what time is it ok to hoover? My neighbour doesn't get up until 10, but I've just got to get on with it. Will take DS swimming later.

SMOKEY sorry you can't get much help. Hugs to you and your family.
HUGS to anyone else who wants one.
    Happy Birthday Tru!

Off to look for something to go in the slow cooker. Have a good day all.

    Morning

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Tru

Not going to the auction today, so have managed to post on a Saturday thread. The auction had more greetings cards in, so I was tempted to go, but as I probably have about 20,000 already, thought I would give it a miss :D

Wow Benthosboy, what a difference a day makes, yesterday you were on rock bottom, and today you are giving out hugs - well done you :T

Smokey, thanks for the update, I'm glad Eric is starting to improve, but it is terrible that you can't get any help - if you were a certain sector of the community, you would be getting everything they could throw at you, but don't get me started

I too will be indulging in a hot Indian later, I hope he has had his three Shredded Wheat ;)

Have a good day everyone x

  • Morning all,

Had a good nights sleep but still woke up feeling yuk. Think my body is fighting off the lurgy and has been for the past few days. Wonder which will win, the lurgy or the body:rolleyes:

(((Smokey)))) Hang in there. Looks like your DH is doing his best to:A

BM is on. It was put on timer last night to wake me up at 8am with a fresh loaf but when I looked at it this am it still said 10 hours:doh: I'd only forgotten to press start:o

Having roast pork for dinner tonight and the obligatory sausage/bacon/egg sandwiches today. Boys had cereal for brekkie this morning.

Its dry here and I'm hoping to get out on my bike this afternoon. I realy do need to as I haven't managed to all week so far even tho the intention has been there.

Gotta go and refuel with coffee - give the body some caffeine to fight back with:rotfl:

Hugs and best wishes to all

    Good morning everyone,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRU - hope you have a wonderful day xxx

Smokey - ((HUGS)) to you and your family, i wish i was closer to you, so could help with the childcare xx

DD still really poorly here, she spent the day curled up in a chair yesterday, and i have left her asleep in my bed - im not feeling 100%, but my problem is tierdness, but i am happier she was with me last night so i could keep an eye on her. My 2 are meant to be spending the day (well, its normally a few hours, thats all he can be bothered with) with their dad, but she def wont be going, i doubt he will worry tho, he doesnt have much of a relationship with her.

Today we dont have anywhere we need to go, or do, so apart from some cleaning (maybe) it will be a very lazy day here. Will be making the HM pizza i didnt make yesterday, and maybe some baking, if i dont do that today i will tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I would be tempted to tell someone in authority that my cousin was a journalist and was interested in doing an article on the NHS. Who should they contact? Solutions mght suddenly appear.

    mioliere

Really quite keen to get started on a square now - all I need is the right size needles and the wool.;)

DH is driving me to Newcastle to pick up DD so need to have the fastest shower and shampoo ever and get dressed .

Hugs to all and glad Martyn sounds better. As a Scot I think it would do him the world of good to have getting back there as a goal.

    See you later

I totally agree. Martyn if you are reading this, this could be the chance to change your life - you have no-one to please but yourself, you are only 44 (I think), so go for it :j

    Morning all!

Feeling extremely committed to OS this morning - it's 8.45 and the DW is loaded (not running, not full yet - can still squeeze the lunch things in), BM on, milk cooling for yoghurt, school and work shirts all washed :j (but this means 17 shirts to iron  ), just need to make sure trousers and jumpers go through today. Meat defrosted to make meatballs as soon as I'm dressed. I feel extremely efficient, although I also need to empty the children's intrays today (a week's worth of school stuff has just been shoved in, they're all going to fall over and the homework's getting lost).

Minor Cupiers 1, 2 and 3 are all having their Saturday morning treat of TV-in-their-pyjamas (you know what I mean) and being up since 6.06am doesn't seem to have put too many people in a bad mood.

    Things to do today:
get the yoghurt into the thermos
    iron shirts
    clear kitchen surfaces
get minor 1 new school shoes
    write some letters
start knitting minor 3's new teddy bear
cut out minor 1's new PJs

I know it looks like minor 2 is missing out, but honestly, he had new PJs and a bear last week. The other two need to catch up!

((hugs)) to all who need them, hope today is a positive day.

We ran round like loonies yesterday - miss tru had the orthodontist then we dropped off her at work, went to mr tru's grandad's house to fit some flooring, then into town, then went shopping, then stopped off at the office to collect some work. Got home at 7pm  Still managed to have 3 visits from a Person With Problems - he was here before we went out and again when we got home, we missed his 2nd visit cos we were out - and 2 phone calls from another Person With Problems

Unless I close the curtains in the lounge all day, people can see that we're in. I can't use nets or blinds because the windows open inwards and I wouldn't be able to open the window. I don't want to keep the curtains closed so PLEASE give me some suggestions before I go insane

On the plus side, I popped into the shop where I'd left some cards, 18 had sold :j I took away the unsold ones and left 30 new ones and put them on a cute wooden stand which I've painted bright purple :D Also Tim (shop owner) said a lot of people had taken my business cards :j Thank you Tim for your support angel-smiley-002.gif I really must update my website, the people who took my biz cards will be a tad disappointed when they see it :o

When the PWP arrives, greet them with a big hug and say "I'm so glad you came round, I have the biggest problem that I need your help with". Then go on to describe something that will set them running (blocked fuel pipes, unblocking the loo, removing a dead tree, physics homework, etc). :D

It's your birthday, FHS, you deserve a day away from PWPs :A
