    Morning everyone

Thanks for the update Smoky ((((hugs)))), hope you find the coats today. Easter is covered as you are still sick atm, and we will hope that my the summer holidays Eric may be at home, he certainly is fighting, and has everyone routing for him here. Maybe re-assessment time is a little further down the road.

Went out for tea last night, it was easier, DS now likes spicer food than we do and his GF is veggy, and as an out and out carnivore I find it hard. They are going out for a meal with friends tonight, and I have handed the kitchen over to DS+GF for Sunday. Total fridge/freezer full of food but better than the stress.

Having second car (usually used by DS) MOT'd by our nephew this morning so hopefully all will be OK. It should be he maintains it and knows we want it safe, so if anything needs doing he does it.

Right better get a wiggle on, ((((hugs)))) all round. Take care DG

    Good Morning All

    (((Smokey)))
Benthosboy - good to see you are sounding much more positive

Grey and wet here in Essex today, DS has footie training at 9.30 but no match tomorrow.

Need to find my cats travel basket in a min (once Im dressed) for sis as she wants to borrow it, whilst in the garage will have a look for something for dinner - if there is some chicken there will have fried chicken but also fancied lasagne.

Off to hairdressers at lunchtime, I am in for a cut & colour, DD is having a cut & blowdry - cant wait - have had a very bad hair week. DD is then off to town shopping with her mate in Chelmsford & I will have to pick them up later.

Will be also doing washing, ironing and tidying in today. Have written most of the menu plan for next week buts its a bit difficult as I dont know what we are doing over Easter.

Off now for a quick surf.

  • Morning all,

kyle - your kids aren't deranged - that's exactly the sort of thing mine do sometimes (and they're 11, 14 & nearly 16!!!) It is the sort of thing that does give you the giggles..!

jet77 - Christmas?! aarrgggghhhhh!!!!! lol - someone else made a comment like that to me yesterday too - someone please slow down the clock....
Hoping to get the BM going today to make herby granary something, and perhaps also do some carrot & creme fraiche soup for lunch to go with it.

Have been back eating biscuits, cakes, chocolate & all sorts of rubbish, and it shows on my skin, and I feel so sluggish again. Need to get my head back into "healthy" mode, go swimming & sort myself out, lol!!

Have a good day everyone - hugs to those that need them - and birthday greetings too!!
Now must finish off my money budgeting/tracking & then have a constructive day I hope.

    Morning everyone.
Very foggy here this morning and rain given for later. Good job we have lots of jobs to get done, kids all have homework ,myself and dh plan on sorting some ebay listings out, hes decided he wants a new bike so he can start riding it to work (we all in the get healthy mode at the minute) so we will need to sell something to pay for it!!
And a general tidy up and ironing to be done.

    Hugs to all

    Good morning everyone,

There must be something in the air today as my 3year old also woke at 5am. His dad works away so I could have really done without a 5am start!

Martyn, you sound more cheerful today. It's a horrible time in your life, but you will get through it and you will feel better.

Smoky, sending positive thoughts to Eric, and hugs to you.

I am still sorting the house out after a week of having the flu. Dh did a sterling job on the childcare front, but I have to say that housework is not his thing.

We will be making the most of the dry weather today, and going to the park I think. If I can wear the little person out I may be lucky and get a 6am start tomorrow rather than 5am.

    Take care all of you

my kids are slightly deranged i think, they put on toy story 2 to watch but are they watching it in english? NO! they have put it on french and are in hysterics everyime someone speaks:rotfl:

That takes me back. When the Small Penguins were smaller, when they got a toy, they would get me to read the instructions in Italian  had them falling over every time ;)

I've been out running (and only managed to step in one pile of dog shoot   ) but that's set me up for the day. I've had my headphones on and listening to Carmina Burana, trying to aid my practice as we have 3 more rehearsals before the concert

We're off out this evening (just the 2 of us; DD is still away and DS has been invited to a party sleepover) to help a friend who's getting chooks for the first time. Her DH will be cooking a delicious veggie curry - I'm hoping for a Hot Indian, too :p:D Sadly, one of us will be driving back. Wonder whose turn it is......

Carrot and ginger soup in the Rayburn, and now off to make some bread, a cake, and some cookies.

Have a great day, Penny. x
