    Happy Birthday Tru

Where are Taplady and Tattycath?

Benthosboy. I drive past that spot in the picture of your van every day. ;) That's probably put you right off moving back. :D

Been up and out at the school fair. Home with more carp than we donated. Need to tidy up the kitchen then down the town to the butcher and home to tidy up the windowboxes.
Asparagus soup and crusty bread for tea.

    Bye for now.

Right - here is a very daft-feeling Mioliere! I've been telling knitters and crocheters to do the squares for our blanket at 8 x 8 INCHES! However, STRESSEDOUT has asked if they should be 8 x 8 CMS! And I'm afraid I don't actually know! I think it may have been DONNY-GAL who said she had seen one done for WaterAid in 8 x 8 inch squares but, knowing me, I may have read it too quickly and just assumed, me being a non-metric girly, that it was inches not cms. I would be very very grateful if whoever it was would let me know and, meanwhile, please hold your needles and hooks at the ready - I'll let you know asap! Meanwhile, thanks so much for a fantastic response.

Hi Kathy! It was little ol me! Wateraid requested 8" x 8" squares so answer is inches. I have red wool at the ready just need the needles as they are being used for another project at the moment.

    Happy Birthday Tru! :bdaycake:

Just resting up as we took pup for her walk and did a little bit of shopping (I wanted to get some of the bargain wool at aldi) and have now both overdone it, OH is getting worse and now can't talk very well so getting frustrated, he is also weak from the virus so I am making him rest when I can. His eyesight is shot as well so he cannot even pick up a book to read and eating is very difficult as is drinking a cuppa (thank goodness for straws) Just hoping this will peak soon so we will know the extent of the damage and start on the recovery. Just to add to his problems he has exam work to finish within the week!

On the plus side only another week at school and then we break up for the Easter hols :D I love my little job but need the rest now!:o

    Have a lovely Saturday!

BERTIEBOTS - you stick to your guns, especially if he is the one who spent all the spare cash. I love to get the newspaper and used to buy one every day and half the time it wouldn't get read. Most days, apart from the weekends, I read them online - it's a lot cheaper that way! If I don't have time to read them, I don't have to feel guilty about wasting money. Hope your day gets better.

    Afternoon Everyone

    Happy Birthday Tru.

Still full of cold so dh let me sleep in this morning. I woke up at 11.45 whoops. Since then been to Aldi and started the great kitchen clear out. So far I've done the window sill, under the sink, on top of the crockery cupboard and on top of the larder cupboard. Can't believe the amount of rubbish I've found. I'm about to go and tackle the corner under the boiler which is going to be horrible.

Tea will be easy chicken and bacon baguettes. I'll be proberbly carrying on clearing the kitchen this evening as I think dh is hoping to knock most of it out tomorrow although I'm hoping he'll leave my sink in for now.

    Have a good evening everyone
