I received my online order last week and one of the items is the wrong size:mad: I e-mailed CS the following day, but they didn't reply
Today, I called the 0800 number that's mentioned on the 1st page of this thread (thanks crazyposhgal:D ) the lady I spoke to said I could return the item via my local store or send it back to them and wait for them to send a replacement. I think I'd prefer just to get a refund from the store (not had much luck with dotcom. I've only ever placed 2 orders and both times there has been a problem:mad: ) my question is: I recieved 1000points for buying 3 prem beauty items, and the item I wish to return is one of those items. Will they take back my 1000points? I will be as mad as hell if they do, because I would not be returning it if they had sent me the correct size. They sent a 8ml item instead of 30ml:eek: Has anyone here ever returned a dotcom item to a store for a refund?
Hi sally06
I returned a full box of stuff to a store. My .com experiences recently have mainly been bad, and all due to badly packaged items, but I felt that because I'd mailed about the same thing twice, I was in danger of not being taken seriously.
This was explained to a lovely CS person (whose name I can give you by PM) when I received another faulty product.
He said to return the items to .com but I told him that I'd prefer it if a SA actually saw how badly packed the order was. Minutes after the phone call, I noticed that a redund had been made to my account, and as far as I can tell, no points were deducted.
I've since had another premium beauty item delivered, and I was amazed to find that it's also damaged, (and dirty) and it's getting to the point where I'm actually embarrassed to contact CS about it, so I might stick that in a box, with a covering letter and return it to .com.
I'm also very unimpressed by the state of the Lancome eye shadows that I received. They weren't in contact with any product that could have leaked, yet they still arrived with a light covering of some sort of greasy moisture
The strange thing is ....I must have received about 40 of those Palmolive freebies ....and not one has leaked! To make it doubly worse, they're usually the items that are packed the best!
Anyway, good luck with whichever method you chooseOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0 -
Jings!
This is such a friendly thread.:T
I really only visit here, pigsback,TescoH&B (when H&B available)and the ebay threads. They are all friendly (nearly as friendly as here!)
I made a mistake and visited the employment thread with a couple of questions re sick leave.
I have virtually been accused of working the system, ouch!
Can I stay safe in here ,I am not venturing out again!
I am off to do my hair with my hair colour I got in Boots yesterday.
Lets hope it doesn't go green or orange or pink!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -

When I returned items last week they rang CS to check on the price as I had said it was different to what I paid. Before that she said if it comes up on the till we can take it back instore, if not they couldn't. I didn't lose my 2000pts either
as I had returned 5 of 6 prem beauty items but I did lose the normal points value as I gave my AD card. When you return to .com you may lose your prem beuty points, but I'm not sure.
Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!0 -
Off to get a hair colour, too as need cheering up. I used the Botanics elixir and it has given me thrush
so now I'm going to have to spend Boots points to get me better....I hate spending money/points like that - it's not exactly a treat is it?

The Meal Deals are bloomin' good value, actually. You can get a smoothie or all sorts of posh fruit juice or fizz, sushi or salads or a sarnie plus one of their very nice little puds/snack/chocolate etc, all for £2.99. I go in there for quick lunches a lot....it's much cheaper than going to a coffee bar or cafe, and easier than making up a packed lunch for myself. I like the pots of Shapers main meal salads, though they don't come with vouchers.
the boots i go to for lunch charge £3.49 for the meal deal
but it is still good value i guess, well better than spending a fortune in m&s anyway lol
and it is even better now they do the 6th lunch free thing0 -
