After the other days chicken hearted attempt at getting Gwp MF sets thru at Gemini. got them but did buy two eyeshadows, I wanted somemore, (greedy piggy) so today I thought that' s it Boots is gonna get it
,, yea I was to cause I am norm just a come a day go a day type.
Anyway, official, Manager of Prescot said No17 all on mark down at another SA. I ran and gripped every colour liner I could find and got SA to price check all, Blue eye and Pink rose lip 50p each so bought 2 and 1 lip glaze, with 1 expert soap. paid £1.59 and got 100 points did this twice.
Went to St.Helens same again got all liners scaned, now diff colours diff prices, got another of the above but paid £1ish 100points added, did twice. Got Acc Hatbox for £4.50 as the clear plastic came off as I was walking around:p , no honest it did, they were priced at £9.00 but I asked kind SA if she could reduce again as Plastic not on..Paid £5.00 Must be ten on shelf at £9.00 left.
Broke the sound barrier to get to Warrington low and behold liners diff colours diff prices again. SA said they are changing packaging soon. So got 2 liners, 1 glaze, 1 expert frizzease and 1 Gwp hatbox. Did this 4 times:o but SA was laughing saying hey you had better have left some for me. Got poss the whole range of Expert stuff but will poss take me a month to use all so I will report on all as I use.
Tried all Atm and Prescot was diff to St.H nad Warr Gemini..... Phewwy

I was in the middle of saying "I don't know yet because I'm not sure of the individual prices of each product as it's not shown on my screen' and was ready to void the transaction so I could check when she laughed sarcastically and said "well I suggest you'd better find out."
Because I saw her credit card before she asked me, I had already put the transaction to payment. When she saw my screen she got angry and said "Oh, you've already done it! Right" and pushed her card into the slot despite the fact I was going to void it. She then looked at me nastily and said angrily "Look, you don't seem to know what you're doing," to which I tried to explain it's easier if you tell the SA at the start of teh transaction if you want to redeem but she protested angrily saying "I did! I did tell you." In the end I just apolagised to not offend her further but she really ruined my day with her attitude.
Yeah people don't seem to realise that we see the same as the customer sees when it comes to offers that say "save" on the screen. It's a pain to try to work out the items on the onscreen receipt.
I also tend to select card payment when I see a card in their hand as 9/10 people don't tell you how they want to pay, they just stare at the card reader.
It really irritates me when people start insulting your intelligence, especially when it is to cover up the fact that they know that they are wrong but just won't admit it.
We have been told that we are allowed to tell customers that it is not part of our job description to be spoken to in the way they are speaking to us and that we are to get a manager if the customer wishes to continue in the mannor that they have started. I have only said this once (when I wasn't flustered and could actually think) and the customer very quickly changed her attitude. Usually tho I get really embarrassed when people talk to me like that and can't form words to defend myself lol.
I'm really sorry you had a nasty experience too, it really ruins the rest of the day:grouphug:0 -
hi sally06, just noticed you go to the stevenage boots - do you go to the town centre or the one at roaring meg just out of interest? i never find town centre one very good, but love the roaring meg one!!
Hiya, I've been to the one in the town centre a few times. I don't know where roaring meg iswhat a strange name:rotfl: Is that one a bigger store? I do most of my bootsing in London, since I work there. I used to live there too, so I know lots of stores within easy reach of each other:D

I received my online order last week and one of the items is the wrong size:mad: I e-mailed CS the following day, but they didn't reply
Today, I called the 0800 number that's mentioned on the 1st page of this thread (thanks crazyposhgal:D ) the lady I spoke to said I could return the item via my local store or send it back to them and wait for them to send a replacement. I think I'd prefer just to get a refund from the store (not had much luck with dotcom. I've only ever placed 2 orders and both times there has been a problem:mad: ) my question is: I recieved 1000points for buying 3 prem beauty items, and the item I wish to return is one of those items. Will they take back my 1000points? I will be as mad as hell if they do, because I would not be returning it if they had sent me the correct size. They sent a 8ml item instead of 30ml:eek: Has anyone here ever returned a dotcom item to a store for a refund?

Yes I have returned things to Boots.com and they have always deducted the points. I have never returned anything to the store from online. If you do, and you show your invoice they will no doubt take the main points I dont know about the extra 1000 though.
If they have charged you for the large size and sent you the small you may be better sending it back to com. As there are no prices on the invoice.
When I returned items that had the free palmolive offer on them they did not want the freebies back though (Told me to keep them).~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
So what store exactly is this yummy healthcare SA in? I'm very intrigued lol;)
Well it depends which one you go to but the one I was on about is about 5ft 8in brown hair, like your Mum looking...:rotfl:
... Nar, Orlaith no yummy guys... well there are two managers one is about 5ft 5 and the other is a little bit taller and maybe foreign....
Take note all you people going to gemini warrington.... they are the managers... but hey ho they may not know about GWP so it is up to you, but I am sticking to the back of the shop with the girls, even the scary looking ones:eek: .0 -

Do you want a refund or exchange? As if you wanted the 30ml, as you originally ordered this, i would just swap it for that size instore and explain they have sent you the wrong one.. Although, as previously mentioned, the invoice you have has no prices on it, so they have no way of knowing what you have been originally charged. I suspect they would probably just ring customer services with you there instore to get a price. It all depends if you want to swap or just want your money back..?
Exchange - instore or send back to .com. You wont lose your points as they are only swapping it.
Refund - Hmm, i'd risk it instore and just say its unwanted and you have no AC if asked....0
