If they have charged you for the large size and sent you the small you may be better sending it back to com. As there are no prices on the invoice.
When I returned items that had the free palmolive offer on them they did not want the freebies back though (Told me to keep them).
Thanks pollsdolls. I'd better spend my points...fast;) seriously, I think I will take your advice and return it by post. Dot.com is more trouble than it's worth.0 -

As if you wanted the 30ml, as you originally ordered this, i would just swap it for that size instore and explain they have sent you the wrong one.. Although, as previously mentioned, the invoice you have has no prices on it, so they have no way of knowing what you have been originally charged. I suspect they would probably just ring customer services with you there instore to get a price. It all depends if you want to swap or just want your money back..?
Exchange - instore or send back to .com. You wont lose your points as they are only swapping it.
Refund - Hmm, i'd risk it instore and just say its unwanted and you have no AC if asked....
Thanks scorpiokitten, do you know if they sell urban retreat instore? I've never seen itwould be good if they do. Swopping the item instore would save a lot of time and faffing about.

You're welcome hun, you know that's a great question.. i have never seen it either and would like to know tooBut even if they don't stock it, and its this make you are wishing to return, they will accept it anyway, as i have returned something that they only sell online and never had in that store, but it was fine with them to refund it.
I'm sure you'll find something to swap it for, them £9 TB bags are rather nice for example...0 -

We sell Urban Retreat in our store so no doubt it should be on the entire company's system. Ask them to try and if it's not accepted ask them to phone CS to get a code for it0 -
I received my online order last week and one of the items is the wrong size:mad: I e-mailed CS the following day, but they didn't reply
Today, I called the 0800 number that's mentioned on the 1st page of this thread (thanks crazyposhgal:D ) the lady I spoke to said I could return the item via my local store or send it back to them and wait for them to send a replacement. I think I'd prefer just to get a refund from the store (not had much luck with dotcom. I've only ever placed 2 orders and both times there has been a problem:mad: ) my question is: I recieved 1000points for buying 3 prem beauty items, and the item I wish to return is one of those items. Will they take back my 1000points? I will be as mad as hell if they do, because I would not be returning it if they had sent me the correct size. They sent a 8ml item instead of 30ml:eek: Has anyone here ever returned a dotcom item to a store for a refund?

handbag_handle wrote: »I had a very similar situation on saturday when a customer asked me whether she can get anything free with her points after all the items had been scanned. I was in the middle of saying "I don't know yet because I'm not sure of the individual prices of each product as it's not shown on my screen' and was ready to void the transaction so I could check when she laughed sarcastically and said "well I suggest you'd better find out."
I can't stand rudeness in any form, and I'm sure that some of the more awkward customers think that because there's a counter between them and the staff, they've been given a license to verbally abuse staff members.
Actually, if I did work at Boots, and that had happened to me, that counter would have come in handy - I might have given in to my urge to bop her on the nose. I'm annoyed just reading about your experience.
