Right peeps and peepesses. This is going to make me sound like a right cheapskate, but does anyone know where the REDUCED SECTION is in the big LEEDS CITY CENTRE store?0

Also, what is this GWP and MF you people keep mentioning. I'm assuming MF is not a swear word. LOL.0

hey mimi
have a look on the 1st page 1st post for a breakdown of all the abreviations which get used on here...
GWP = gift with purchase
MF = max factor
The buzz at the mo is that the pink (rectangular) and black (hexagonal kinda box) go thro boots till as £0.00...ie they are free without spending the £15 you're supposed to on maxfactor items.
HTH (Hope that helps):o0 -

£1.30 for egg mayo, and very tasty they were too.
The Meal Deals are bloomin' good value, actually. You can get a smoothie or all sorts of posh fruit juice or fizz, sushi or salads or a sarnie plus one of their very nice little puds/snack/chocolate etc, all for £2.99. I go in there for quick lunches a lot....it's much cheaper than going to a coffee bar or cafe, and easier than making up a packed lunch for myself. I like the pots of Shapers main meal salads, though they don't come with vouchers.
If you just want a sandwich for the voucher though many branches reduce their short dated sandwiches mid afternoon, after the lunchtime rush. Straiton branch on the outside of Edinburgh is a great place for this, have to say, and often reduce their sandwiches down to 50p or even 25p. I've been known to buy suitable ones just to put in the freezer, in case my OH needs to take a quick lunch into work.Val.0 -
Are you psychic? lol.
Yeah I had a really dodgy customer on Friday. One of my first customers actually. Wanted to pay with points when she hadn't enough. So I pointed out that to make things easier for herself it's best to ask to pay in points at the start. She took this as me insulting her and called me rude, unhelpful etc (even though I was in the process of putting through her seperate transactions). She was even pulling sarcastic faces at me, and as I said "thanks very much" while giving her change she snapped the money from me.
She then phoned up in the afternoon to complain saying lies like I refused to put her shopping through on points and shouted and argued with her and that she will never shop at Boots because of me.
Luckily the manager she spoke to knows me even though she isn't my manager, and she knew that I would never treat a customer like that. I always have great feedback on the survey and I even served the managers mum without knowing who she was and she praised my service so much I got a gift.
What has really annoyed me is what if the person who took the call believed the customer? I could have been in so much trouble and it was all lies.
The main point of my question is that I was wondering if you all would get offended if someone said
"sorry you don't have enough points to pay but I can void things out to do two seperate transactions if you like?
Oh and just to make everything quicker for yourself in future you need to ask to pay in points at the start of the sale as you can only pay for items worth less than you have on your ad card and it means it's easier for you to pay that way" *smile at customer*
Wow that was a big long rant, sorry for boring you all lol.
I had a very similar situation on saturday when a customer asked me whether she can get anything free with her points after all the items had been scanned. I was in the middle of saying "I don't know yet because I'm not sure of the individual prices of each product as it's not shown on my screen' and was ready to void the transaction so I could check when she laughed sarcastically and said "well I suggest you'd better find out."
Because I saw her credit card before she asked me, I had already put the transaction to payment. When she saw my screen she got angry and said "Oh, you've already done it! Right" and pushed her card into the slot despite the fact I was going to void it. She then looked at me nastily and said angrily "Look, you don't seem to know what you're doing," to which I tried to explain it's easier if you tell the SA at the start of teh transaction if you want to redeem but she protested angrily saying "I did! I did tell you." In the end I just apolagised to not offend her further but she really ruined my day with her attitude.0 -
