  • Anna that is BRILLIANT and very inspirational!

My starting weight is 179.5 I meant to start this week, but have had the worst teethache( is there anyone left on the board that i haven't moaned to about that yet?) so haven't been eating well, its been what won't make my mouth hurt and that I can eat on side!

So I shall weigh in again next week.

right now I am just going to sit and feel sorry for myself!!

good luck to anyone else who is weighing in

    xxxxx

I have been going to Slimming World for just under a year. I had lost about 5lbs on my own and was 10 stone 6 when I joined. I have just (just) after all this time got down to 9 stone 8 lbs. Its been a hilly rocky road and being in my fifties - well it seems to be harder to lose weight thats all I can say - maybe an excuse?

So here I am stuck at this weight. Would probably like to lose another half stone ideally but I already feel so much better. Trouble is I am getting frustrated not to mention embarrassed when everyone else seems to lost pounds and pounds, though I realise they are much bigger and it probably comes off easier.

Do you think joining Weight Watchers would give me a fresh perspective? A kick up the jacksie whatever you would call it? Has anyone else found WW more effective for them than SW? Alternatively I was thinking of joining Rosemary Conley as you get to exercise there, not just sitting around clapping each other. Not to necessarily follow the diet but the disiplince of being weighed weekly.

    Opinions anyone??? :)

i would recommend ww me and mum are on it, and it is working for both of us, it is also felixble as you can either do a points plan or a core plan, points is basically all foods and drinks have a points value and you have a certain number of points a day dependant on age, height weight etc

core is where there is a list of foods and drinks you can have and you can have as much as you want but you eat until you arre "satisfied" you also have a number of points to use over the week if you wish if you want items not on the core list (ie a glass of wine, a snack etc)

i like ww and how it works, and also find the weekly weigh in is a good kick up the bum

Hi everyone, I've not dropped by much as I missed last weeks weigh in because of my kids going to a running event ( I didn't run!). We also went away for the weekend which involved eating a whole load of junk food and I had my first choccy in 5 or 6 weeks. Not only did I not enjoy it, I got a spot on my chin within a few hours!

I made the zero points curry tonight which was nice and really quite filling, so thanks to the person who posted it, can't remember who, I'm sorry.

    more zero points recipes please!!

Yay , despite my bad eating I've lost 3lbs in two weeks, so I'm under 11 stone and only 4lbs away from my 10% target!

I'm really chuffed as I thought about not going tonight because I didn't expect to have lost anything.

    Well done Piratess too!
