    thanks for the tips .

dh went to tesco this mornign to get weighed properly and shock horror found he weighed more than even I thought - hes 22st 9lb . its definatly given him the motivation he needs to get going but its put his points up to 36 a day !! that seems a huge amount compaired to my 22 :(

I'm trying to be really carefull today as we are having a roast later and i really want to enjoy it

Hi all, back on the wagon here with a vengeance. I'm totally ashamed to say I've put on about 9lb over the last 3 weeks :o - just goes to show how quickly it piles on when you go back to 'normal' eating !

But I'm not going to kick myself over it. I made a conscious decision to enjoy myself (even if I did a bit too much !) :p

So, 100% effort from now on and I'll aim to lose my xmas weight before the end of January, anything else is a bonus.

Welcome to jane130, plenty of help, support and advice here, don't be worried about asking questions, we'll all try to help if we can.

Right, off for a late lunch (been to the Panto :D). WW bagel, laughing cow cheese, beetroot an apple, raisins and hazelnuts for lunch :T. Dinner tonight is the leftover Duck from yesterday with roasties and veg.

Be good everyone ! (do as I say and not as I do ! hahah :rotfl:)
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j

Hi Jane - my hubby started following WW in July (I've been doing it since Feb)...he started pretty much the same place as your hubby and last time we weighed in (before Christmas, mind ;)) he'd just dropped below 20st. His big changes were dropping Coke for Diet Sprite (he can't stand Diet Coke - which is my favorite)...he stopped getting buttered toast and full fat cappucinos for breakfast at the cafe by work and sticks mainly to grapes and non-fat coffees that sort of thing in the morning...he used to eat out at restaurants most lunches - now he has sandwiches (which he does buy from Pret) and he tries to stick to the lower points options and soups (not so good if no way to heat up - but maybe a thermos flask would be an option?) - more grapes usually at lunch. He's a big fan of Snack-a-Jacks as you get quite a lot for a relatively small number of points...he's found other things he likes - the Be Good to Yourself range at Sainsburys has some good treats for not a lot of points.

We got a wii and wii fit and it has helped get us going a bit in terms of exercise.

And tell me about the 36 points thing! I am on 24 (I think - been awhile since I checked) and yeah, he gets sooo many more than me just for being a bloke. A bit unfair, really...but I understand it's to do with what your body needs and all that.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

i am so determined to hit the ground running! have stocked up on good foods (low points) and am doin a tesco online atm. does anyone know the points in a bottle of corona? or is it better to stick with weight watchers wines? my problem is i love malibu, peach schnapps etc or bicardi breezers but i think they would have higher pints than corona!

my big issue is breakfast! if i get up and make breakfast everyday this coming week, i might treat myself to something nice (defo not foodwise lol!)

I know that a measure of malibu is 1/2 a point so a malibu and diet coke is a good choice for me, make it a long one with lots of ice and you won't use too many points :)
