Sorry Tesco, but this may cost you loads.
A tip that I picked up from 'Martins Money saving tips', is that Tesco, (and most other supermarkets), will give you a voucher to obtain 'special offers' later, if they run out of stock before the offer ends. Present the voucher when the offered goods are back in stock, and you will only have to pay the 'special offer' price
Happy hunting,
Leo.
EDIT: had been a few hours since I opened the browser on the page, looks like many others said the same!

Went to my local tescos and there were none- the customer services woman took me to where they were and the whole lot had gone.
BTW I am told that there are higher wattage energy savers made for billiard /pool table lights, so that might be a source for the forum member's uncle try googling 30 watt (=150 watt) + "low energy".0 -
Went to my Tesco today and there were quite a few in stock. They were all priced full price (about £1.68 I think) but when I went to the price checkpoint in the store, the Tesco lady nearby said "Yeah, they're the 1p bulbs." I got six and my Dad got eight. When we got to the tills, the lad said we could have up to ten each. However, when he scanned them, the bayonet-style went through at 1p and the screw-cap at £1.68! They were identical save for the fittings! Needless to say, the dearer ones stayed at Tescos. Just for info, none of the displays stated they were 1p, it's only when they went through the tills. They were still full price on the shelves.0

Was plenty left in Tesco Thornton Heath.
Keep them - If you buy any fittings from IKEA, they are screw fit.0 -
There have been some 1p Lightbulbs for sale in the Liverpool area, but most stores have removed the price tags, and the only way of knowing is by using the self-sevice scanner if they have one, or asking the staff to check them at the tills. I have been told different stories on how many are allowed, from you can have any amount, to a limit of ten. One shop Woolton, has them priced at 1p but out of stock, however it does have a restock date of 29th March on view. So they might be getting more. If you buy more than you need, or the wrong type please donate them to a deserving charity.0

I got 5 from my local Tesco store in Batley, and they were all priced at 1p and they had hundreds of them! There was a shelf stocker just emptying box after box into the big tub.
