Summer can be slower but great if you are clearing out last years clothes. My children have had a clear out of smaller clothes and we've made over £100 this month. Looks like people want some bargains for their holidays. I sent a pair of trousers out today for someone going away on Friday. I do put all on as BIN so I don't get silly money and if people do want things quickly it does help.

My ebay auctions have finished, and 7 out of 7 items sold for a profit of £38.57 (that is after all the fees have been taken off):j .

Cannot believe that I managed to to get £13.50 for half a bottle of CK perfume:confused: , you live and learn. Will definately be scouring the boot fairs for half bottles of perfume now:rotfl: .

Onwards and upwards guys, onwards and upwards. Now what else is not nailed down:rotfl: .

Tried selling clothes on eBay but got next to nothing and it was nice stuff too. Do you have any secrets of success?!

Right have spent many hours reading the post and think its a fab challange totally crazy but needs to work.
I have sort of made a start by selling at carboot sale last weekend and made 50 quid, some of the clothes dident sell too well which surprised me as was all monsoon, next and gap so may have better luck on ebay.
I id buy one thing to sell on ebay is it worth me buying at carboot to sell on ebay? as carboot buyers market and ebay a sellers or will i just end up with more clutter?
My mum and sister sorting through their clutter and donating 2 me so will se whats decent to ebay and what can be taken to carboot as doing carboot tommorow an d next weekend as not many left.
Anything left will go on ebay.

Quick background, recently quit job, surviving on final pay packet, starting up new business, start up costs £600! Seems low but not when u not got much but need to spend to make income. Also wanted enough momey to tide me over for next couple of months so estimated I need at least £1200, I have 4prams to sell approx value 500 so another 700 to go by selling clothes, household, books, dvds and anything else can my hands on.
I want to make 1200 in a month is this impossible? I have done lots of ebaying in past but do hate listing and imgaine taking 700parcels to post office!

So im hoping ebay and carboots will do me well, also been selling on mums forum sold a pram for £240 sadly paid the car tax! The cars a money pit latly and old 1quid of kids clothes yesterday not too bad as got good price and avoided fees.My 2half yer olds been flicking through cataloge showing me things she wants, its hubbsy birthday and my mams wedding this month so very pricey time!

I do have a lot of clutter hoping for minimalist look in house over next few months!

Good luck gailey. I too hate listing, but the reward is worth it.

Do you have turbo lister (as this can make it a bit easier - sit down one night and list like crazy on turbo lister, and then upload to ebay at your leisure).

Gailey - Good luck, everyone told me I couldn't survive the Summer when I quit my first job (4 years ago), but eBay kept me in vintage shoes! Good luck with the business, whatever it may be - It's loads of fun being your own boss.
southernbelle - I love your "Keep Calm and Carry On", I've got that poster on the door of my eBay wardrobe! I would probably have the "Careless Talk Costs Lives" next to the phone too :D

Can you all confirm, is it really August? I haven't done a thing on eBay is ages, but thought we we in the first week of July still! I must have been abducted by aliens, I've lost 3 weeks of my life! I'll be my calculations later and update my sig... not much change I fear

 Hope everyone is still plodding along with the challenge and doing well.

I sold 4 out of 8 items on ebay yesterday for £22, £15 for a pair of girls boots. :j I'l update my total when everyone's paid and I've calculated the fees. Also had 4 things on Amazon sell over the weekend which all adds to the total. At this rate I'll have the deposit for my house in no time. ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:
