Right guys, really need to pull my finger out with this challenge.

The catalytic converter went on my car on Monday and cost me £195:eek:  , so if the kids want to eat or do any activies during the summer holiday I need to recoup this.

7 items currently ready to upload in turbo lister tonight, and then I need to sort out my craft room:eek:  , must have some stuff in there to go on.

10 out 13 items have bids on - so far totalling £59.49 :T . 10 finish tomorrow and 3 next Sunday. Have just put a load of books and DVD's on Amazon, but as I've only ever sold 2 books on there I'm not holding my breath

7 items sold today with a grand total of £30.87. I still need to take the fees out of that so I'll probably make £20 :rotfl: .

    Hi
I was finding mine were taking ages but then realised I have a new camera and the file sizes are huge, so I have to resave then as email files to make them smaller. They started to up load really quickly then and the quality doesn't really notice.

    Just an idea

From my experience over the last few years the Summer Holiday season was not a good time to sell things on ebay.
I found that items that normally had competing bidders that pushed the price up only had one bidder and so went for the starting price - which is not what we want !

I know Ebay selling can be addictive, and you end up wanting to list everything you can find, but at this time of the year it may be worth just holding back on your better items as you'll likely get better prices in a couple of months time...

The alternative is to decide what you really want for an item and put this as the start price for it - either on auction or Buy it Now... that way if it sells you get the right price for it
Between Jun '08 and Jun '09 I made £5K matched betting
Between July '09 and Dec '10 I spent it all
So I'm back to do it again

Yes I've found that as well, I've stopped listing for now and preparing all my listings in Turbo Lister. I think I'll load them all in one go in September.
Got rid of all my credit card debt, reduced crazy utilities bills, learned to budget, and now trading down to a smaller property. Lurking around the DIY forum.

Not strictly ebay but... after saying earlier that I hardly sell anything on Amazon I've had 3 things sell in 3 days and have another item pending payment, which only went on today after failing to sell on ebay last week. :j

I'm still waiting for 2 buyers to cough up or at least let me know when they're going to pay. It doesn't take much to quickly email saying they're paying by cheque or however.

I've got some schoolwear that I think I'll put on in the next week or 2, hopefully that'll fetch a few pennies.

If you come up with something good to sell it's still worth sticking it on as a Buy It Now...
There are fewer buyers in the summer... but there are also fewer sellers... less competition for you if you're selling something that somebody really wants - but use a BIN so they pay the price you want cos there may only be one bidder (or an auction at a proper start price)

Mad ebay challenge, £400 a month, reached in June, £327 so far in July.

You're doing well... I had an excellent £430 profit in June, (I usually average about £65 a week) but eased off for the summer after the first couple of weeks of July and have only done £145 this month

I'll still be putting on 4 or 5 BIN's a week (- most of the stuff I sell is in the media categories so only costs 10p to list whatever price you start at, thus it doesn't cost me much if it doesn't sell)
So though I'm only expecting to make about £75 in August it still keeps the money coming in which inspires me to keep at it !
