I have recently been listing with auctiva, make your listing with them and you can have up to 24 photos for free. Great if your item is worth more money and requires more than one photo.
Go to www.auctiva.com and link your ebay account to it.
Also, I prefer to have a mad ebay listing night every so often, get it out of the way rather than listing a few items here and there. This also means people can look at your other auctions and maybe save on postage. I find Thursday evenings the best time to list and usually find 3 day auctions best, people do tend to want the item pretty soon and no stress of having to log back on in a few days to bid. My experience with longer auctions is that it gets a couple of bids in the first few days and then none
  • Does anyone know how to get the turbolister? I can't find it on Ebay or on here. Also, does anyone know if when you open a shop on Ebay, do you have to start paying VAT on thigs you sell, or is it just another format so people can see all your items easier?

Hi debtfreeme, Here is the link for turbo lister
    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/turbo_lister/
If this doesn't work go to ebay and click on site map and you'll find a link on there.
Don't have an ebay shop I'm afraid so can't help you there.

Hi again, changed my mind about how much i'm gonna aim for. Will start with £200. That will clear off one of my overdrafts. I'm gonna set up my paypal account so that all my earnings will go into that account and pay it off.

Was a liitle annoyed when i found that you have to pay a paypal fee as well as the ebay fee if you sell more than two things a year! but i did make about £90 in the end after fees! :j

To anyone just listing for the first time- be careful with P&P! use some kitchen scales to check the weight of what you are selling and then use the Royal Mail Website to find out how much it will cost to post it then you don't charge too little then end up loosing some of your potential profit! (also i was quite lucky, my boss let me swipe some envelopes and bubble wrap from work so i was able to save on packaging costs!)

Wow, this is a bit of an essay! Good luck everyone! :D

Well, 3 of my items are selling for 99p each - better than nothing I suppose. 15 of them finish tomorrow so fingers crossed. I was hoping for at least £50 from those ending tomorrow.

I got a phone call on Friday to say I won £50 worth of Sainsburys vouchers so they will probably end up on Ebay so I can count them towards this challenge :D .

I am going to try and find another 15 items to put on tomorrow but I've got 3 mystery shops tomorrow so may be pushed for time.

I can't believe what some people will buy on Ebay!! I was clearing out my purse and found £52 of Tesco money off clothing vouchers which expire at the end of the month. Don't know why but I looked on Ebay and people are actually buying them so listed them quick sharp!! Generally they're going for about 25% of face value so if I get £10 for them will be delighted!!
