People you continually have to repeat things to......i say peple you have to continually repeat things to........I work with a woman who has a habit of saying "say again?" before ive even finished my sentence.........its really beginning to irritate me
I had someone like that. Drove me up the wall.

One day I was about to tell them that the seat they were going to sit on had wet paint when "Say again?" interrupted me. So I said "No", and walked off. They rarely ever spoke to me at all after that... but they NEVER said "Say again"!

    :)

I hate that I handed in an application for a job via e-mail at 2.30pm. I then had a "no thank you" reply e-mail by 2.37pm. I mean, did they actually bother to look at it???? Then again maybe just false pride that makes me angry :D
I really hate it when my mum critically looks at me and says "That colour doesn't suit you, why can't you wear nice ladylike clothes, you must lose some weight, cut your hair...." Like I am NEVER good enough!

Well you are good enough. When I was 29 (am now 33) my mum said to me (as I had a nice figure in the summer I wore a little top and a mini skirt one day when it was 30+ degrees out) "you gonna start wearing proper clothes - you should now at your age"

I see a lot of people who wear ladylike clothes and I prefer jeans and yes I wear ladylike clothes on special occasions am sure your the same.

Im really sorry to hear that Katinkka, my own experiences of having a brother who had Aspergers and other learning difficulties on top is one of the major reasons why I couldnt cope with having kids of my own, as I know how badly things can go wrong and how difficult it can be to live with.

It is hard work sometimes but I wouldnt be without him for anything. I am thankful that he is not disabled in a way that prevents him from having fun like other children.
    (((hugs)))
i totally agree with you. my son is autistic too and i often get horrible stares and comments from strangers. my son often gets very distressed in shops for different reasons, people can be quite hurtful. he is 4 and a half and ive had people tell me he shouldnt sit in the seats in the trolley and cant i make him walk, ive had people tell him to shut up if he is screaming etc..ive been told to "control your child" too and been told im a bad mother not to mention all the tutting and evil looks i get....you never truly know the reason why a child is acting the way it is.....and afterall autism is an "invisible" disablilty"

    jamie

Fortunatly Tristan behaves quite well most of the time and shopping isnt a problem as long as I accept he will want to get out his thomas the tank purse and buy sweeties whenever he sees them! If I dont want him to have any, the only way is to not take him. If he is with me I go to waitrose as there are no queues there (too expensive!!) as its the queues where he gets impatiant and stressed. He is 5 and a half.

    A few more to add!

I hate all insurance ad's, its like they are trying to make the subject even more boring - but especially hate the 'More than' insurance - that dog certainly isnt lucky, he's annoying as sin.

Parking Attendants - I have never seen a more miserable bunch of police force rejects on a power trip in all my life. (Im sure they are very nice people in real life, but anyone wanting to do that job is insane)

Landlords - Ours has seen fit to replace a perfectly working net in the front window with a net curtain with little tiebacks - bearing in mind that the front window is directly on a pavement on a busy commuter thoroughfare and this place used to be a shop (imagine a shop window in your lounge!!), So I can no longer walk to the front door to check my mail without getting fully dressed, or flash every commuter who happens to be there. I also feel its a security risk, as It makes it obvious if someone is home or not and wouldnt take much to put a brick through it and steal everything. Bloody Idiot.

Landlords Part 2 - Just because we are here for another month after the 12 month contract, doesnt mean you can walk in and about the house whenever you feel like - we still have rights you know. And jiggling the bathroom door handle when im having a pee does not make me happy.

Local Council - I wont say which political party it is run by, that info is freely available on the web anyway  - but renaming it 'a bunch of wild west bandits' would not be inaccurate at all. Making everything as difficult as possible for people is the norm, not giving us bloody wheelie bins (plastic bags ripped open by foxes is SO attractive to walk through in my posh heels) , charging the idiots that continue to live in this blasted city ever more council tax to pay for thier failure at getting the Bath Spa project completed (And it STILL isnt open!) which is pointless anyway - who in their right mind would go to a GLASS spa 'experience' in a city full of chavs?? 'Spa Culture' and 'City of Heritage' my !!!!!!.

Landlords Part 3 - AAARRRGGHHH - Why dont you do things that you have been told about on several occassions in the last few months? Its bad enough that the water pressure is so low it takes half a goddam hour to fill the bath, and everytime I flush a toilet in the night I can hear it refilling for the next 10 mins, but really, bleed the system because I am sick and tired of having the occassional power shower of orange concentrate all up the walls because it sometimes goes mad, when all I want to do is make a glass of juice!

Im sure there's more but im going to go calm down before I do!

I hate the "have you been injured whilst shopping, walking, thinking, blinking or breathing, and it wasn't your fault?...." ads.

I have a son with Aspergers too and I ended up virtually isolated because of his behaviour all bar the trips to A & E when he had yet again cause an injury to himself. I ended up going back to work 3 days a week just to get some company and some respite from him. Now he is nearly 12 and I am so proud of the young man he is turning into. I married my DH when my son was 6 and with his help DS has changed into a sociable, well liked boy with loads of friends, lots of potential and a good future to look forward to.

But I do hate the starers too, I will never forget the day that DD2 threw the biggest tantrum I have ever seen at a theme park, I'd stupidly bought disposable bottles for the day and they had two holes in the teat!! She went manic and I could only hold her and try and calm her down. When she'd finished venting a woman walked over to me and I thought she was going to have a go, instead she praised me on how well I'd handled the tantrum and that I was obviously a great mother. I walked on air for the rest of the day and I have never forgotten her and how good she made me feel about myself.
