  • Katinkka...my heart goes out to you as i can imagine how difficult it must be.

My kids have no medical problems but both went through the terrrible two's REALLY badly throwing huge tantrums and it wasnt because i gave into them!!

Th ey are both Taureans like their father so that might explain it? lol

I vividly remember one occasion in a theme park when daughter was about two and a half. She had a full scale paddy because her older brother was on a swing ride that she was too small to go on.

I could do nothing but hold her firmly close to me and to act like I didnt care whilst everyone around was staring and gawping!! I was sooooo embaressed but had to wait until the ride ended to get son.

I then had to carry her screaming and kicking out of the park whilst the stares carried on.

Not a nice situation I can tell you!

Hence I never took the kids to supermarket unless I had my husbands help and one of us could remove said child if a tantrum broke out.............and also why I never stare if I see or hear another childs tantrum.........I hate the sound and just think......been there ......done that!!

So much easier to ignore when it isnt your child doing the tantrum.

Thankfully mine are well past that stage now and heading for the teens........more problems no doubt!

  • I hate that I handed in an application for a job via e-mail at 2.30pm. I then had a "no thank you" reply e-mail by 2.37pm. I mean, did they actually bother to look at it???? Then again maybe just false pride that makes me angry :D
I really hate it when my mum critically looks at me and says "That colour doesn't suit you, why can't you wear nice ladylike clothes, you must lose some weight, cut your hair...." Like I am NEVER good enough!

Drivers who forget to turn their indicators off, especially on the motorway.

Drivers who don't indicate to come off roundabouts.

Hanging out the washing, going out, then it starts to pour with rain.

Being so tired that you can't sleep. (What's THAT about?!)

Disposable things (ie it's so rubbish that you have to throw it away after hardly any use.)

Grass is green...the Pope is a Catholic...and mother's criticise...it seems to me it's just the way the world is made....

My mother still does as yours - you would think that now I am 39 she'd realise I'm going to do my own sweet thing no matter what she thinks.

Just thought of another horrible thing, hateful thing, dreaded thing.... shopping in a supermarket on a Thursday with the OAPs. They have picked up their pensions and think they have the right to do anything, block the aisle, be rude, I tell you, they complain about the young people, but the olduns are the rudest of the lot!!

Polystyrene cups. If I wanted my tea to taste that way I'd just pour in a few drops drop of lighter fuel and nail varnish remover and have done with it.

My son is autistic and often freaks out while were out if things dont go his way. If you ever had to deal with a child who you cant communicate with then you wouldnt make it worse for people by staring at them. You cant always tell if a child is disabled and even if they're not, i still think it unfair to stare at them and make the parents feel worse.

    (((hugs)))
i totally agree with you. my son is autistic too and i often get horrible stares and comments from strangers. my son often gets very distressed in shops for different reasons, people can be quite hurtful. he is 4 and a half and ive had people tell me he shouldnt sit in the seats in the trolley and cant i make him walk, ive had people tell him to shut up if he is screaming etc..ive been told to "control your child" too and been told im a bad mother not to mention all the tutting and evil looks i get....you never truly know the reason why a child is acting the way it is.....and afterall autism is an "invisible" disablilty"
