  • I have nothing to add to the savings pot this month :(

My mini-bus needed work, work and more work this month - any potential savings ...!!!!!!!...gone. Onwards and upwards, as the saying goes.......makes me even more determined to get some Ebay and Amazon stuff listed for next month. DH has booked overtime for next month, he will be doing a six day week, so that should help us get back on track again.
  • Just back from the bank! I've opened my monthly saver and have deposited £400 into it :) I've now nearly 2% of my house deposit saved!!! Not huge but I'm getting there.
I've also money to come in from the parents of the little girl I look after each week, they pay me at the end of the month so that should be another £50 to add to my house savings :j
  • Payday today and signature updated. We viewed our second property today but there is so much to consider when you first start out and we want something we can live in for the foreseeable future rather than somewhere to move out of as soon as possible.

Welcome to all the new deposit savers!! Keep up the good work.

Not much to report here. I've managed not to spend much in Feb and save £1000!! :T But me and the OH now have the next two weeks off work so I'm sure we'll be spending a bit as we want to go away and have treats (like a daily paper and lunches out!! Might even take OH to gordan ramsays as its his birthday next week). Also I want a ramoska cooker.. see the OS thread! Oh and car is due for a full service in march.

My wages are also lower now as I'm buying additional years to top up my NHS pension. But I guess I see that as an investment rather than a spend. Still waiting about going part time too.

My sales on amazon are going steady. I need to list a few more CDs and books really. Might have a rummage and see what else I can get rid of. I do have plenty of bits for my car boot sale which I'll be doing once the weather warms up.

Wow! Everyone is obviously trying hard and doing their very best. I'm so impressed.

DH and I have been paid today (hurrah!) and we have managed to save a grand total of £720 between the two of us. Not bad at all. I feel quite smug (though not as good as some). Savings now 59.4% of our target  Not brilliant, but not bad...... Only another £16k or so to go :(
