how did your carboot sale go cassie?

i had to dip into my savings (well i didn't have to but i did for a garden table and chairs) gonna have to dip into it again in a few weeks when were away but we never go away so we want to enjoy ourselfs, i've planned a few 2 for 1 meals with my taste and hi-life card tho so hopefully i won't dip in much :)

i house near me was sold for £7,000 last week, now it needs alot of work and the bank sold it for that but it just goes to show how cheap houses are going, i also saw a drop from 45k to 25k in the last few months thats a big drop for such a low starting price

    Whoop!! Where was this?

wow tara if i was that close i'd find £65 from somewhere, it was in postadown tara it's acually a pretty good area now, however i used to live there as a little girl and there used to be alot of trouble saying that we lived there for 3 years before we moved here and it was nice and quiet and never any trouble, however the house had no garden at all and needed alot of work, wouldn't be my dream house by any stretch but for £7k you'd make do lol

No saving for me this month, but that's only to be expected as it's the first month that my reduced income comes into major effect... So I'm just over £100 overdrawn at this time, and I'll need to draw out more on that overdraft before next pay-day which is nearly a month away.

I officially move back in with my parents next week, so the main barrier to my saving (£650 pcm rent), ends. :) And I'll soon clear the the overdraft and start saving £400+ per month. and settling my outstanding loans should follow in the next few months as well.

Well done Tara. I'm back on the saving road again, £62000 now, managed to get together £1250 on the nose for July despite quitting my big paying job. Temping for now but I'm really happy I can keep up saving. I'm really hoping to get a perm job soon and then think about locking things away for 12 months in a final run up to really buying something!

DH finally got paid and saved his share this month.

We're up to £64479.83 - which is 88.94% of the way to goal lol!

We're looking for houses officially now - but everything I've seen is already under offer everytime I speak to an agent........so irritating. And they do not seem to be forthcoming with contacting us about houses which is really annoying
