We are now 91% of the way towards a 10% deposit.

Managed to save an extra £100 than normal between me and bf due to being at home lots decorating the past month.

    Getting our home valued tomorrow!

Well, our deposit has dissapeared. Quite sad really, bit like losing and old friend. We complete on our house in 2weeks, which is nice, although the thought of a mortgage is somewhat of a scary thought. We both work, the mortgage came in at 4 times single salary so not TOO bad, although I was hoping for smaller.

Home is to die for, although it needs significant work over the next year or so, not least because it has an annex attracting seperate council tax. Not great! So, to get round it, we need to rip out a kitchen or a bathroom at best, worst, need to knock through some walls.

After 4 years saving, I promise you, its hard to let go of!

I will hopefully have an extra day at work next term which will effectively be a 50% pay rise but I only work 2 days a week so we're not talking any huge amounts of money. However the extra day comes with a LOT of extra responsibilities which I have no idea if I am capable of as it is totally out of my field of expertise so I'm a bit worried about whether to accept it. They also want me to do some extra overtime on the fourth day which would be fantastic and leave very little time for temping which I hate.

    :o Oh I don't know what to do!! :o

Congratulations! I can imagine it feels hard to let go of those savings but just think how good it will feel when you're sitting in your own home knowing that all that hard work and saving have paid off! :j For someone who is at the very beginning of probably 4 years hard saving it is very motivational for me :T
