:hello: Morning!
Happy Birthday Racy Red!:bdaycake:
Hope everyone is ok in this rotten weather! I am delaying walking the puppy as she might get blown away! will have to make do with the garden for now but it is scary out there at the moment, thank goodness we had the old silver birch taken out a couple of weeks ago as one of the roots had rotted and we were warned that it could go over in high winds! so will spend a quiet day in knitting dishcloths and making bread. Kathy I would love to knit a blanket wondering if I use the same wool for all the squares but vary the patterns? (have a large amount of some lovely natural marl type double knitting) would this work or would the tension be all over the place?
((((hugs)))) to Smokey
Catowen - sorry to hear about your fence, hope you manage to get them fixed soon. Several went over in this area in the last winds and I am sure there will be more, normally ours but since they have been replaced with new ones and gravel boards they appear (fingers crossed) to be holding up to the weather.
:hello: Hello Mrs Mix, Aussie, Shez and all the hussys!
Stay dry and safe everyone!

Good Morning All
Horrible wet & windy morning here!
Not been around all last week. So big apologies if I missed any celebrations (((hugs))) to everyone!
including those who are poorly.
Im still coughing for england! I should really get it checked out, but as usual, cant be bothered! I felt all achy again on thursday, luckily it passed.
WM on. Finally learning to keep on top of it all now! Normally my wk ends are spent washing, but was able to have a sunday free!
Pen-Pen - Ive booked Thursday off work, So looking forward to the meet!
Things are pretty much the same between OH and myself. He stays a couple of nights during the week, the rest - he's at his parents! Think we have a long way to go! Im just about coping, apart from tuesday when things did get on top of me and I cried for europe!
Redruby - how are things with you?
Kids will be having cheese omlette for dinner,me - a jacket potato! DD is at judo later, so its always a rush!
went to school last week as I had a meeting with one of DS's teachers, which was organised by our family therapist. I waited for half hour and she never turned up! I left a message for her to ring, which she gracefully did, but in a tone, that I didn't appreciate, I asked her to speak to me like an adult and not a child, whilst trying to re-arrange another appointment, then she put the phone down on me!!!!
(((hugs))) to smoky!
scuzz - get well soon!
Happy Birthday to racyred! Have a lovely day!
essex-girl - good luck with the train journey!
moiliere - know how you feel with all the rubbish items all over the place due to the winds. Its happened here no end of times. In fact - I still have someone's plastic green house in my garden!
catowen - (((hugs))) hope you get fence sorted soon! Im ok - thanks for asking!
anniebooklover - sounds like you had a great time! Happy birthday to your mum!

Morning All!
:bdaycake: RaceyRed!
Awful here in Hastings! The sea is slamming up over the top, and the wind is diabolical! DS has refused to go to college in case he gets blown away. I'm off sick from work. MS relapse, can't walk properly, and I'm still numb down my left side. Still on eight steroids a day, so it should clear up soon:o
DD's engagement party was fantastic! Thanks to my great friend Lisa, we got all the food done on Friday. Still eating cheesecake and gateaux tho!:rotfl: OH got very drunk, so did DS. I was very good. Ex-hubby and wife were there, she got the hump because Ex was paying me more attention than her:rotfl: (I looked far better, can't help it!) Anyway, all went well.
Did nothing yesterday, and not doing anything today, just resting.
)))))))))HUGS)))))) to Smokey and anyone else who needs them.
Have a great day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Morning all :j
Sorry I haven't posted for a few days, been busy with one thing and another. Did start typing a post yesterday but just as I was about to press submit it lost the whole post  put me in a bad mood not to write another one lol
Start my new job today, only doing a few hours hough as training, but kinda don't wanna go, as one im a little nervous and 2 the weather is horrendous out there, don't really want to venture out
Fell out with my Mum last night too which has been playing on my mind all night. hate when we fall out as it bugs me till we make up. But I refuse to ring her as she needs to realise for once that she is in the wrong. I usually just give in and ring her, but this time im not gonna, but I really want to, as it will bug me until I do  It was an arguement between Mum, DS and OH, and im stuck in the middle as usual
Washing machine broke yesterday too to top things off, had to ring hotpoint who are sending out an engineer on Weds, which isnt too long to wait, but knowing my lukc they will need a certain part which will take weeks to order in
(im on a moaning spree today aren't I, sorry)
Dinner today is sweet and sour pork, fried noodles and beansprouts.
Best be off to have my shower and get myself ready to brave the storm.
Hugs to all, bye for now, Hels xxxx0 -

Hi all. It's a bit blowy here!
First of all, mega thanks to all those who sent best wishes re my aunt dying yesterday. The kindness and generosity of (almost) complete strangers on here never ceases to amaze me. This is a truly a wonderful little corner of this website. Thank you.
Massive <<hugs>> to Smokey.
Happy Birthday to Racy! :bdaycake: I hope the little baby coots don't get blown away today.
Our usual Monday walk has been cancelled which is a pity really since I could do with some fresh air, but I think it would be silly, especially as DD has driven off with my waterproof jacket in her car. So now I have an unexpected morning to myself which is nice. I'm going to start preparing tonight's beef curry in a moment so that it's all ready and waiting when OH and DD come home (at different times, of course!).
I have to go into town and buy a sympathy card for my cousin and also get some bits and bobs from the chemist along with some curtain hooks as our bedroom curtains are half hanging off the rail, my, that does look nice. And I call myself a seamstress haha.
Have a good day everyone. I hope everyone is safe, sounds like Wales has had the worst of it so I hope all our Welsh daffies are OK.

Redruby - how are things with you?
Love Emma xxx
Hi Emma, things are quite good here with us, I think the break we had done us some good, and made us both appreciate what we have, we are both trying hard to get it right, he went off yesterday on his bike for most of the day, and DD and I spent a lovely day together. Sorry to hear things are still not so good for you, a good cry sometimes helps, I am here if you need to chat, hugs to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Well there is a huge tree in the garden that backs on to ours, and a HUGE brance has just fallen, its still attached to the tree but laying across their garden, its a council run house for two lovely men with learning difficulties, who keep wandering about the garden, I hope one of their helpers comes soon and keeps them in, its just not safe at the moment.
Have had a good tidy, and DD is changing her bed and tidying her room  , just going to hoover, and mop the floors, will then do some cooking, will make a loaf, and prepare dinner, have run out of eggs so cant do much baking, but will keep myself busy, might snuggle down later and watch a film, although the lights keep flickering, so don't know if we will have power for much longer .
Keep safe all xx
AnnieBL, happy birthday to youe ma xx0 -

Topsy turvey morning here as OH isn't feeling too good and I struggled to get the girls out to school.
Plans for the day are to clean the bedrooms and bathroom and spend a bit more time in the garden if possible. Salmon quiche for tea and need to make a start on Easter bonnets and displays with the girls when they get home from school. :easter_os
Have a great day everyone.
