Good morning everyone! Crikey, it's blowing a hoolie  May need to run DS to school. The only good thing about DD being away is no pack-ups to make and no lunch boxes to wash :j ;) Can you tell I'm missing her :o

After a busy weekend int he garden, I have lots of indoor jobs today. Squash risotto for tea, and a bolognaise to make for later in the week.

    Happy Birthday Racy :bdaycake:

  • Morning all,

Weather A1 dreadful here. Sat at my computer watching someones recycling box travelling up the road on its own. There are neighbours all over the place collecting large chunks of wood which have been blown up the road as well:eek:

Have. (depends on how they are behaving at the time:rotfl: )

Am hoping it doesn't get any worse this storm. Thankfully I managed to get out yesterday on my bike and I've got TONS of sorting out to do indoors today. Am going to store all the stuff no longer needed in the garage ready for carbooting in a few weeks. Got furniture to paint, sewing to do etc so I won't be bored today, in fact it will be nice to be home alone while the boys are at school and have some peace and quiet:T

Hugs and best wishes to all

When you're editing, if you press the "Go advanced" button below the text box, that will allow you to use the smilies. Does that help?

    Morning all,

(((HUGS))) to those who want/need them n a special one for Smoky ((HUG))

hope the weathers no affecting too many. I could hear the wind and rain in the night but it looks quite calm out this morning.

I've got the whole day to myself ... til about half four ... and don't know what to do with it:confused: Crazy I know because everyone would love to have a day to themselves but I feel lost without LO's about :o

Things that need doing ... decluttering cupboards/drawers, 1 load washing, bit of paperwork and can't think of anything else ... actually there's a couple of books I've got from the library (non-fiction) that I can make notes from one and start reading other. .... oh well ... looking at that it seems that I have plenty to be getting on with :j Should keep me out of trouble :p

Anyway ... enough of my rambling .. hope everyone has a great day.

    Luv xxx

    Good morning everyone

Been up in Scotland at the weekend to celebrate my parents' birthdays. My DMum is 75 today. She had a weekend of being spoilt and I'm sure it will continue today. DDad had a day at the races but may as well have been on the beach at Blackpool as he seemd to pick only donkeys. :D

Smoky ((((hugs)))) to you and yours. Haven't been able to read the threads yet so have no idea what the current situation is but I hope things are improving.
Racy Red Happy Birthday. Hope it's a good one.
((((hugs)))) to those who are caught up in the storms. Here's hoping you avoid injury and damage.

Need to get ready for w**k. Have a marvellous Monday. xx

Morning boys and girls, hope none of you have got blown away. We seem to have a slight lull here at the moment. I'm sitting with the SAD lamp, regarding my rather neater garden through the window. DH and I spent some time out there yesterday afternoon, he has cut the grass (what's left after it has been used as a builders' yard during the extensin build.) has raked out all the rubble and other carp. Birds enjoying the turned over soil. Our robin kept me company for much of the afternoon!

Plenty of food left from the w/e so don't need to cook tonight, just warm through.

No work today, it's 'review day' in college, so I have lots of time to tackle my jobs list, which I started to write last night when I couldn't settle to sleep. It's a really long list! I'm sure there are lots of things that I haven't remembered. WIll put estimated time against each task, so that I can work against the clock. WIll have regular breaks scheduled in (guess where I will spend them).

Have a good day everyone. Need to call in at Weight loss thread for some gee-ing up in that dept!

Hope the weekend has seen an improvement with your OH Smokeybabe.

    Happy Birthday to Racyred :bdaycake:

Hope everyone manages to stay safe and dry today. Its really windy and raining here but thankfully the fence panels have survived,so far. Last time we had bad wind we lost the roof off the shed :o

Having a snuggly day today :D Meaning putting on my pjs, fluffy dressing gown and slippers. Then tottering around ( on one crutch ) might do abit of baking if i can stand long enough on one leg. Really want to try Twinks hobnobs.
Going to do a general living room tidy and might watch a film this afternoon :D
Slowcooker will prepare us a nice tea of chicken casserole. I just bought a new one from Amazon thats a dual pot one.. On sale for £17.50. So now i can put veg in the big side casserole and none in the smaller side. Will save DS1 and DS2 picking out carrots ;) . Thankfully DS3 eats anything

Hope everyone has a good day. I will catch up on todays thread then pop back later

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACY RED

Well, after my shock drawing the curtains this morning, ive calmed down and been out to try and salvage what i could - 2 bits are still attached to each other, and the post, even though they are halfway down the hill but i have managed to drag another onto my patio. I also slipped down the hill, but luckily was able to grab hold of a tree stump, so didnt go to far or get too muddy.

Need to go into Plymouth this morning, need to get a baby gift for the LO who was born last week, and i will be looking after from September. Hopefully the bridge wont be shut, i know high sided vehicles arnt allowed over.

Have 1 LO here this afternoon, and need to do some dusting, but as i had quite a productive day yesterday, its not too bad.

Hope everyone has a lovely day - keep safe in this weather, it really is horrible here!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
