I'm going to tenerife 17th June and been looking at the rates lately which some are poor! should i wait a couple of weeks to buy euros or buy them now? Thanks everyone
I'll do you a deal, if you can tell me next weeks winning lottery numbers i'll tell you what the euro is going to do over the next week, this is of course a fair trade because with this knowledge both us could become millionaires, by the way if you detect a very subtle hint of sarcasm its because this has been asked hundreds of times before and theres even a sticky regarding this question at the top of this board.

should i hang on to buy euors?
well.. the main discussion about euors, is that they don't actually exist right now?! so when they decide to release it as a proper currency, euors that is, then i'll be the first to start trading in them, and give you the best possible rate!

Hello Mr Bear :hello:
You are in fact correct about pups needing a lot of sleep and I can hear my duvet calling.
Would you mind awfully keeping an eye out for Mr Moo in case he tries to nick my dubloons while I am snoozing?

PS: I notice that the weather has turned rather chilly on this BH weekend and I am rather concerned about you. If you still insist on wearing your squirrel g-string can you please at least make sure you wear a vest too, I would hate to see a bear covered in goosebumps the size of dubloons x0 -
Hi all
.....At the risk of incurring the wrath of the sarcastic gits club.....
is it cheaper to buy euro's in the UK or abroad, namely Portugal.
Keep up the good work:D
C'mon guys it is a Sunday and a Bank holiday tomorrow, so be gentle wiv me.0 -
Impossible to generalise. Portugal is a (fairly) big place. So is the UK. Neither is the same everywhere.
Depending on how you pay for them and the particular place you buy them, it could go either way.
The only certain thing is that you will not get them cheaper than from an ATM in Portugal with a Nationwide debit card. (Well yes you can - buy from a friend and diddle him on the rate)0 -

Someone reported this week that they were in spain and they were getting a worse rate of exchange than they would have in the UK, i think the best way off looking at it is unless you are changing tens of thousands of pounds its really only gona save you a pound or two, and you wont have to waste time and effort looking for a money exchange place.
All the best
