Ok - daft question.

Go on holiday in a couple of weeks. Have £700 in cash that I want to convert to euros. Don't have a nationwide acc and can't set one up in time.

If I place in the money in my bank account then try to buy euros online I'll be charged a cash advance fee whereever I go.

Where is the best place for walking into with my cash and converting to euros? M&S?

Put it in the bank, then use Travelex online to order euros (pay online with your debit card) which you can pick up at the airport. If you do it this way there is NO commission charge - if you change at airport (Heathrow etc) there is a 1.5% or 2% commission, can't remember which ( even higher at Luton and others!)

....the bad news is not using the Nationwide card - Exchange Bureaux currently offering 1.2137 compared with the 1.275 I was getting with N'wide in France last week!
