During the summer I am away for a month around Eastern Europe. I am visiting Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia.

I am wondering the best way to carry/use currency?

    Thanks :money:

Personally I find the beat way to carry money, and this applies to anywhere in the world, is in my pocket, usually in a wallet.

And using it, I tend to find waving it in the sellers/cabbies/hoteliers face and smiling the way forward.

    Welcome to MSE :D

If you have a Nationwide Flexaccount, use it to withdraw euros from an ATM in Austria. If not, check out the Travel Money Maximiser and get the best rate before you leave. Full details in the Overseas Spending article :)
