juliejim - poor DS ((((hugs)))) hope he's ok. How did it happen?

Apparently he was running and collided with another child. The other child didn't even know what was supposed to have happened when he was asked a bit later if he was okay and he wasn't hurt anywhere! DS's best friend told his mum that the playground was just covered in pools of blood. Mind you, the teachers said that at first they couldn't even tell whether it was his nose, mouth, teeth or what because there was that much blood! He's okay this morning though - just got a nose which is rather large!

Big hugs to you Jill - try and take it a bit easier - it does get better, although I've only got 2! I'm the same age as you as well - well actually you're older than me as it's not my birthday until December!

    Morning all

Slept like a babe last night and don't ache quite so badly from all that walking this morning. Am up and will be off to work shortly. Dog staying at home today as I'm off to lunch with some friends. I've actually become a lady who lunches this week - what with pub lunch yesterday, today and a lunch out tomorrow.

Hugs to all who need them. Mudbath - hope your heating is restored today.

Juliejim- ouch for your DS, hope hes not too sore this morning

JillD - it was me who said OMFG, really sorry but I didn't find it funny either, like you said you hit someone - totally not your fault and a complete accident but it was a person and could have been worse. But it wasn't. Speaking from car accidents I've had you need to deal with and not let the problem take an impact on your life, yes it was a close call but it was all fine and these things happen, you checked and did nothing wrong. Completely understand why your still shaken about it, give it a little while to get your confidence back and for the nevres to ease and it'll be okay, just take it easy for a while and not get hung up on it. As for the playground gossips, something else will happen tomorrow and they'll forget - shall I streak across the playground for them? LOL. Don't really know what to say about your DH and that because I'm bad at giving advice but I'm tired from just reading your posts, my DH was US when DS was little and he had loads of problems and a quite bad addication to something and I actually tired to leave him, bit extreme but I couldn't cope anymore and slowly we did re-build and he helped, he still works long hours, is on his PALM all night but he does try and help with the house and DS. And thanks for saying he'll have the trots - it made me laugh! HUGS xxxx

    Morning all!

DH is back today, DH is back today, la-la-la-la-la!!!! Can you tell I'm looking forward to him being back, even if he's an annoying sod. Just hope he can get a flight back on, France is now having bad weather he said. Got a few jobs to do this morning, think I'll do them while DS is happy playing and watching CBeebies and then get dressed and go out for a few hours. First job is put a chilli in SC for tonight.

Have a good day everyone xx

HUGE HUGS to you Jill you need some time out and from what I can see the housework should be the first thing to go, take it from one who has done precisely that! Just don't tell Pigpen or she might stop my dog biscuits :p

I have this poem stuck up here and it certainly helps me especially the bit about success is failure turned inside out.

You are such a strong person, give yourself a break, deep breaths and rant to us all you like ;)

    Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will.
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill.
When funds are low and the debts are high.
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about.
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

In fact print this out and stick it somewhere prominent so you can see it when the pc is off.

    Morning everyone

Another day off work and work up with head pounding and nose all bunged up so threw open bedroom window while OH went to make the tea _ thats one things off this weeks list done then, can I have a dog biscuit please pigpen :rotfl: .

OH walkin doogie and DD to school which is about as much as he can see needs doing.

Massive hugs to Jill. You have been through a lot, your babe is still a little one and you need to have a rest. As for men, they are second class creatures who dont have much of a clue in the real world and I dont think they even know how to use their brains to think. Theres only one thing they can actually think about! My OH too is an only child so I can relate to what you say. If I were you when its nearing bedtime (or pick a time when you should be busy) tell him you're going out and give him a list of what needs doing, then just get in the car and go. Doesnt matter where you go, take the car and sit by the river or by the sea, somewhere peaceful. Just go and chill, then when you feel better for having a bit of peace go home and tell him why you felt you needed to do it.

Loved the poem AnW's mum, think I've seen it somewhere before, its very good and puts things into perspective.

Plan for today is long soak in bath then I'm going to try and level 3 what I've missed of this week so far.

    Catchya later
