OOOOOOH are we men-bashing again? Goody :rotfl:
I have the same problem. Everyone eats, then I do the dishes, clean up the kitchen, make coffee for him, fold and put away clothes, go round and close the curtains (he won't even close the one which is right next to him in the lounge!), try and get the children organised and ready for bed while he sits and watches the news or is on the internet. It might look to him as if I'm not doing much all day, but the fact that the house is running efficiently and is clean and tidy, and he has a hot meal on the table when he comes in, etc, etc, means I am doing much. He's suggested before now that we swap roles :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I don't think so.
I think I need a week away so he can see exactly how hard it is.
I've not done any flying today. DH has to take 10 days leave before the end of April so he took today off and is taking Easter off too. He has an extra day off tomorrow because he has an exam for work tomorrow night so they give them a study day. We went to town today so didn't do anything. Will try and catch up with at least level 2 tomorrow though. The sofa and armchair need a vac!0 -
i got a dog biscuit, i got a dog biscuit...my life has been worthwhile!
mumofjusttwo - you have my sympathies...i struggled with the vacuuming and left the dyson in the hall. i've just asked dh if he's going to put it away to which he says....'you didn't ask me'. i mean purlease, he had to half clamber over it to walk past about 10 times, i can't exactly put it away! i get the last laugh though as he's had to drive dd to a recorder concert and stay and listen. 11 junior schools playing the recorder:rotfl: .
the plumber has been. £500 to £600. at least i know i can trust him not to rip us off.
oh well, it's not £700 and we got an interest free credit card so guess it'll go on that. heating back on and running by friday xx0 -
right
DS bathed and fed a scone - how much stodge can i get him to keep down? Think i might try feeding him properly tomorrow as he now hasn't been ill since mon lunch time.
just hoovered up the living room/dining room and kitchen. Cleaned the kitchen sink/draining board earlier, and have made up the spare bed ready for MIL.
Apparently her train is on time at 8:30.
No sign of DH yet, although he is supposed to be going to the shop and picking up some ingredients for dinner. So can't make a start on that till he arrives.
Think i will give DS some calpol and shove him in bed, and then go and get some spuds out the garage and start to peel them. Mince already cooked last night for a shepherds pie.
I have loads of stuff to do this evening and i am shattered already. Best make a start as no-one will do it for me will they.
Michelle, x0 -
Thank you for the support Mudath- I guess I haven't got a arm in plaster as an excuse but he moans all day that he doesn't get to spend time with DS and DD and then when he gets home he sits down and PLAYS on his computer!!!
Sorry!!! Hope you arm is not getting the way too much.
cha97Michelle - glad to seen it sounds as if DS is feeling a little better *mumofjusttwo makes sure that she touches some wood so that she doesn't tempt fete!!*January Grocery 11/3740 -
