Hi everyone.
Not had chance to read through todays posts properly, just had a quick scan - poor DD2 is teething & hard work today.
Love reading all your funny stories and comments - keeps me going on what has been a VERY hormonal week. Think I've cried at every sad (or even very happy!!) post going!!!
Just need to keep reminding myself that I've not really got anything to feel down about - just a bad week.
On to flying - Not even looked at today's list yet and probably won't as tea, bath, bed for the kids and out to work for me.
I have however managed to:
empty and refill dishwasher
put clothes in TD
make a casserole and dumplings too - just waiting another 10 mins & it will be ready.
I think I need to resign myself to not doing much every other week as this week I work Mon, Wed, Thurs night and up early for school so I'm always tired. But next week I'm working Thurs, Fri, Sat, so at least I can get early nights some of the week and won't feel so tired in day. Have to have one week flying low and the other soaring high!! Might keep on some sort of even keel then.
Update on my ebay items (my first ever ebay things for those who don't know):
Item 1 - no watchers, no bids yet - still got til Sunday night though
Item 2 9 Watchers, 1 bid (ok so its only 99p, but hey, its a start!) Have also had an question about it from someone very local. Fingers crossed they bid too. Very exciting!!!
Think I'd better go now - 14 month old DD has just fallen for the millionth time today! Will be glad to go to work for a bit of peace.0 -

Pigpen, if its the way she is using her feet, rather than the gait, then it's a podiatory issue.
DS2 has toledoes (Little inserts in his shoes that raise his heel up a little) for exactly that, walking on tip toes, tight muscles in his ankle, turning toes in and low arches (funnily enough, though he is hemiplegic, CP only affects right side, both his feet are affected though the right one is worse).
The first step for him was wearing boots instead of shoes, and there was a huge difference with just that. The boots make them walk on the balls of their feet more as they don't have as much movement in the ankle and it stabilises them.
Perhaps try her with boots and see if it makes any differnce? Though, they are a nightmare to get during the summer!0 -
Ill do your spuds if you take my 14 month old off my hands for an hour???
She's very cute but hope you've got lots of tissues or just a shoulder to wipe her snotty nose and dribbly mouth on!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
You're on.. sling her this way... I'll bung her in the sling and carry on.. I am so used to having a child strapped on somewhere I can do most things without even thinking about them.. and snot is my extra layer in cold weather.. it is very insulating!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

She won't wear boots as she cannot walk in them.. they hold her feet too rigid and rub on her legs and little toes. Plus she appears to fall over 10 times more in them than shoes.
She intoes and walks on tip toes but she is incredibly knockknee'd as well I'm going to check the range of movement in her ankles later when I get her ready for her dogbasket and see how they are... I'll go from there.
DD4 has talipes as well which is another reason for the physio.. her feet are still not quite where they should be.. If she twists from the hip she can turn them backwards she has that much movement in her joints!! She did podiatry but they said the problem was muscular and orthopaedic rather than just her feet.
I have a right awkward lot I do!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I have a warm bathroom again. We have that Bristish Gas Heating Care so calle dthem out to fix my raditor. Did I tell you what happened? I was sitting on a folding stool, I moved forward and it collapsed. I landed on the floor, banged against the radiator which then leaked and I ended up with a mild whiplash the next day. That was a week ago and thankfully my neck is only sore when bent forawrd or back no.
Love the gas care because we can get it fixed (used it enough times to justify the money spent) hate it because they always mark me down as having no carbon monoxide alarm, which I do, it just sits hidden next to the wardrobe. And that my flue is not to current standards as it emerges over my neighbours property (which is a sinlge story end terrace, we are a double story terrace). Thing is, it was British Gas who installed it there!
PANIC!!!! DS2 just broke my little ethernet to DSL conector thingy that connects my mdem (with ethernet cable) to my PC (with broken ethernet hub) and I had to push things back together! It's working for now, but the slightest knock and it's gone.
The ethernet thing on this PC hasn't worked since we go it but it's over a year old and I lost the receipt. May be time to find someone to fix a new one in for us.....0 -

We've just been to JJB to return DDs tracksuit and they credited the full £14 odd to my card even though I only paid £9 on the card originally
Then popped into B&Q to see what plants/seeds they had but the garden center was closed due to high winds. Called in to Comet to look at the size of tumbledriers there and I think I should be able to get away with a "tabletop" one since there is now just the two of us
Then I walked DD to Tescos, picked up some goodies and 2 reduced quiche, yet another thing we can add to the menu now ex has moved out
.
All was well, except DD complaining she's hurt her ankle, but with no cash on me I decided that with a little bit of distraction we could make it home before the stormy rain started. BUT I was wrong
We got caught in a MASSIVE hail downpour :eek: So the moment we got in it was straight in the bath with DD, she's now sitting watching the last hour of Harry Potter 3 with a hot cup of tea while I cook dinner (Salmon & broccoli quiche with chips and I might throw some salad on the plate or have fruit for afters :rotfl: ).
Still to do tonight, dishes, change my bedding, wash hair, have a bath, look at finances, watch Torchwood ( ) and I might even watch Holby City cause I can
Oh, and talk to ex online while surfing the net.
Now if I could just get rid of my aching feet and get more than an hours sleep in one go I'd be a happy bunny :rotfl::rotfl: Tomorrow while DD is at school I'll make the effort to clean through and do some small rearranging jobs. Off to put the chips out  Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
i am so proud of myself. i just vacuumed the whole of downstairs. omg if you could have seen me...vacuum nozzle between my knees rocking back and forward whilst i used a brush in my good hand to get the bits towards the nozzle. if anyone had looked in the window. very effective and probably quite a good exercise routine.
plumber / heating guy coming at 630 - a friend of a friend so we won't get ripped off. lots of positive vibes please everyone.
