Argh, got soaked in a huge downpour on the way home from school, double ARGH just noticed my desk was wet, looked behind to find a pond. Water coming through where the conservatory joins to the house on both sides, it is down the side on one side, obviously been a problem before as noticed a huge amount of silicone on the other side which is dry (not done very well) looked up and could see daylight through gaps so no wonder. DP sent on ladders with silicone, will ring LL later and let her know.
Mudbath, eeeek @ the leak but at least you have an idea of what's causing it, just fault finding can save a fortune and the other 'issue' erm, what pigpen said....
AnW'sMum, I know it must be hard for you watching another family go through something similar. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Those of you who have a 3 year old.. I have been watching mine walking.. and she walks like she has just learned to walk rather than like a person .. is this just mine or do yours do it too? She does those short quick steps new walkers do.. I have 3 others with leg/foot issues so I am a bit neurotic about this so thought I'd check on how yours all walk.. before I become hsyterical and dash off to waste the GP's time lol (one has dysplasia, one has assymetry and the other has a shorter less developed leg and is at physio next week)
Off to clean something.. might vacuum the stairs actually while Henry is visible!
Is the physio nice? If so, take her along to the physio with the other one and ask her for a quick opinion. DS2's physio was nice and gave DS1 a quick session. He has central balance issues apparently, but he uses the big ball and he is getting better.0 -
don't know yet Tia.. it is her first (and knowing this authority, the only) appointment. She was referred through the school nurse via the GP to physio but tiddles is too young for the school nurse so it would mean a trip to the GP for her.. it may just be her one 'delay'.. I'll see how she is after summer.. a few weeks of running around in the garden and starting to do the school runs on her legs once the weather improves might be all she needs.
I MUST take DD3 to the GP about her adenoids and breathing difficulties when she is eating/sleeping see if we can get a rocking horse dropping-like referral to ENT for her. I need to have a chat regarding her bed wetting as well.. I am CERTAIN it is a bladder problem.
I might be taking DD1 with her eczema as well which seems to be getting worse and worse the older she gets.
and I need to go too.. for 2 things!
Block booking I think! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
You wouldn't recognise my front room from this morning.. I'll do some pics in a bit.. need a cuppa first and I have a sofa to find.. but only one..
.. It does look a bit bare in there now though there are the 3 sofas, the ancient sewing machine with a plant on the top and a little cabinet which I need to rehome!
My back room is a STY!!!

Excellent all kids playing outside!
Not got very far flying this week as I have done an extra hour work each day so by the time I've been home and had a late lunch it has been time for the school run.
Bathroom/downstairs loo and kitchen all done.
No school for 2 kids tomorrow as LRD and thus no work for me. Little one also has teacher consultations after school.
Chicken in the oven so need to do some pots. Oh should be home to do tonights footie and cricket runs.
Tomorrow plan (appart from speaking to teachers) is a food shop/meal plan and tidy/clean family room/my office. Then a friend is coming for dinner.
OH off skiing tomorrow until Monday so I'll have to do all the weekend activities. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Anyone fancy peeling me 5lb of potatoes?? In fact.. I need 10lb doing.. I just fancy corned dog hash for dinner tomorrow night and as it is parents evening I'll sling it inthe SC but I need them peeling tonight!
The hallway, stairs and front room are all wiped cleannow.. I need to pop my sheets upstairs and I need to fold and put away the 4 lots of clean laundry I have done this afternoon. I have a couple of things to hang up and all is pleasant again.
I have about done tomorrows list so just a quick S&S will suffice then I can get the back room gutted.. I might just get all carried away in here like I did the front room today lol.
My house is starting to resemble a house!!!!!!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
