    Afternoon all,

I will stick to my own list initially this week as the house looks like a bomb has hit but as I was int he bedroom for most of last week it seems to have escaped being hit.

    Bits for this evening
    [strike]
    put dried washing away
iron any washing that needs it
    WM x2
    evening meal
    DW
    s&s kitchen
    declutter lounge
    [/strike]
Okay that it off to make a start will come back later to read the thread and catch up, but hope all who live in the storm warning areas are all okay.

Managed my list tonight but now knackered I will aim to clean the lounge & dining room tomorrow night, and put away the washing which should dry overnight.

    Will see you all tomorrow.

Hi everyone hope everyone is OK....I tried doing baby steps a few weeks ago and failed badly....anyway we have an Estate Agent coming round on Saturday to value the house (to go on the market later in the year)....it really is in no fit state to value so I have a VERY busy week ahead.

Just done up to and including level 3 on the kitchen and the Downstair loo....it looks so much better but that also might be because when I went out over the weekend I got home and my dad had gone round the house and replaced all the lightbulbs that had gone and there was ...12, maybe we should add this to the list!!!

Anyway I am knackered now, its just taken 2 1/2 hours but it looks so much better.

Cannot wait to get on with the next room tomorrow!!

    Have a nice evening all

In terms of flying not a very successful day at all. Had decided that I was going to be busy on Mondays tasks when I got home from work. But you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men........well instead I have cooked tea, made lunches for tomorrow and spent the rest of the time on the pc and my blog.
So I must now get on with things...
New list now looks like this:
Mad Monday - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    [STRIKE]Check fire alarms are working
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.[/STRIKE]
Fling open the window and let in the spring! - a bit late now!
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
[STRIKE]Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
    Air the duvet
    15 minutes floordrobe clearance [/STRIKE]
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from your wardrobe (or someone elses) that you can get rid of... and a pair of shoes only counts as one thing! likewise socks!
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 39 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Clean all the upstairs door frames
    • Clean windows in these rooms
    • Clear the top of a bedside cupboard/chest of drawers or shelf
Tuesday twirling- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!
    Extra mission: Take your pick!
    • Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
    • clean the radiators in these rooms
    • Fling all those empty bottles and tubes
    • Gather up the dirty laundry upstairs!!
    • HHI... a bit more gone!
Looks like I'm going to be busy!!!
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

only just finished the first lot of jobs on my list - cooked dinner, put more in WM and soaked some stained vests, eaten dinner, paid some of the delightful bills that plopped on the mat this morning.

Also gave mum a quick ring and apparently they have british gas there as they think they have a gas leak. they still all have the lurgy too. She was telling me one of the primary schools is looking at closing down for a week as they can't get shut of it - the head has had it 3 times, so that shows how bad it is. Even if i get DS better, i know nursery is really struggling to clear it too. Kids falling ill all over the place when they were right as rain minutes before.

    still to do tonight:
    • mark y7 tests - won't get them all done but i have done 1/30, so need to make a move on it.
    • have bath
    • get WM on
    • hang washing up, or i might forget again and let DH do tomorrow - it's only DS's vests and PJs, and i am certainly not ironing them as they will all be in the wash again within a couple of days
nicki good on you finding out your options. Teaching does have its rewards and although it is killing me at the minute i wouldn't stop it if i could help it - will be glad to go to 60% though as it might be more manageable to the standard i want to work to.

big waves to you all - too many of you to say things to individually, but i have oohed and aahed and laughed and enjoyed reading about your days.

Right - list for tomorrow if that is going to be my last day:
    • FLT - ask K to get an absence note for last week, get A to do form filing
    • mark y7 test
    • give L my mark book to photocopy, then pass on to S
    • put PR2 data for y7 and y10 on computer
    • see J to complete paperwork for days off last week
    • see head and cover teacher to explain i will be taking mat leave early
    • tell head of faculty that is what i am doing - he will have to lump it i am afraid
    • get poster paper out for y10
    • try to get hold of some empty boxes from reprographics
    • empty my desk and classroom
    • get someone to help me with it to the car or borrow lift key
    • mark 7/8/9 books before i leave
    Michelle, x

Well all that needs doing in my bedroom (boy does that look weird typing that :rotfl: ) is hoovering under the bed and behind stuff and me attacking the chest of drawers which I think I'll do in stages as there is so much stuff to work through toiletries wise. I have some rejigging I want to do of storage stuff so that DD can have all of her wardrobe to herself (apart from the high shelf for the expensive stuff like camcorder etc ;) ) so I'll work on that over the next few weeks - maybe next week would be a good time when DD can help since she'll be off school ;)

HOWEVER, my desk / PC area is a right mess :o Paperwork everywhere, duplicate files on the computer which are driving me MAD and since ex deleted his user the thing needs de-fragging etc  So I think I'll get on with that tomorrow since its kind of on the list. First of all though I need to go and buy a hole-punch as I haven't got one now ex has moved out :rotfl::rotfl:

Time for bed me thinks. Night night all  :D

ssl - don't panic! Rhubarb is a very hardy plant, and dies down completely in the winter. If you throw straw on it, and a dustbin or large pot, or even a large dustbin bag you can force the stems a little, and have elegant long pale pink ones. Yum.

SSL Rhubarb will die back when it turns cold in Autumn and reappear about now. The forced (pink sweet) rhubarb you get by forcing - covering the plant to keep out the light so that the shoots grow long and thinish thinking they are underground still and searching for the light. Mine already have some leaves on them as I am much further south than you - I think gardens are probably a month ahead of yours here.

Off to bed now as I need to be up and organised to get DS2 to the college for a technology day tomorrow.

~sigh~ I'm in luurve (thought probably, really, it's luuurst) ~sigh~

Just watched the last hour or so of the Fugitive on TV. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones really are my idea of eye candy and they reach hormones that the men I'm in daily contact with fail to reach

    ~sigh~ and ~sigh~ again.

But, it's bo-bos time so I'll wish you ladies a v. good night and happy flying!
