  • Re the Kitchen vouchers... I'm hoping to just buy new doors and not the full kitchen units etc... Do you think this voucher will still apply?

I phoned my local store (Gateshead Metrocentre) earlier today to ask about delivery and was told, yes, there'll be delivery but obviously they'll be expected to be inundated so it some cases it could be weeks rather than days when it gets delivered.

If you're ordering something that needs to be ordered, such as sofas, then you don't need to worry about it being in stock obviously, and you can just go to an ordering point. Presumably be prepared for a wait though as they'll be busy!

See you there on sat

  • The statement clearly says 'In store only'. But you could consider finding the details of your wants by visiting their website, and then go directly to the relevent section of the store, all of which are arranged in essentially the same order.

Me? Well I'd prefer to scrum down in the Welsh back row (if only I was good enough)

    Hi
Went in and sat with a guy who sorted me out to building an island - seen the little monster in Bordeaux Ikea. Even spotted the shallower units used on one side which allowed the overhang! - something I missed. When I mentioned that I wanted a quote and was waiting for the sale he said that he wished all the customers would do this. Even said about asking for delivery from distribution. Will take time and costs about £50- but the saving I hope to make will more than cover it.

Can't think what the crowds will be like - and didn't want to appear a dithering woman on the day so thought this was the best way for me.

Trouble was had to go back and order the tap for the sink- duurrrrr. :o Forgot it in the excitment- but the store was empty and the guy there just brought up the quote and changed it.

Now do I just park up over night? or try to get in for 5?:rotfl: Bound to be others thinking the same.............
[STRIKE]Fed up of being kippered by kids - new resolve - the NO word. Still at this[/STRIKE] Dam they struck again!!

Just to quickly sum things up that are not getting answered...

The "no home delivery thing on the day" is rubbish because there will be home delivery!

They was only going to just let family members in between 6-8am but that has been scrapped at it will cause all sorts of problems! So it's the free breakie for the members only.

The family card is not a financial tie to you, it's just like a boots card, so even if you join on the door and get your free breakfast, you won't ever have to pay anything!

    Hope this helps!

    Me :j

I did my visit today, noted all the locations and had a chat with a couple of staff. While I was there there was a call for those staff attending the health and safety meeting to go to a certain room, guess this might be for crowd control on Saturday :rotfl::rotfl:

Unfortunately not, I just spoke to customer services and they said that the misinformation is not being honoured - they are amending the advert from today on:cry:

Thats their official statement because they were not prepared for it. But you still get your 21% discount.:rotfl:

Why does this always happen when you've just spent a fortune? Argh!

Think I might stay in, not brave enough for the amount I would save...
One day I might be more organised...........
