I usually buy all of my potting compost from B & Q (the 150ltr bales) and jazz it up with a bit of fertilizer and some water retaining gel, but i've run out at the moment and need to get some more (only a 75ltr to finish my tubs), so i was wondering if there is a better cheaper place to buy it Morrisons? Wilkinsons? Sainsburys? or another chainstore?

I bought two 100ltr bags from homebase for a tenner. Its quite good quality without too many hard lumps. I think if you just buy one bag it is £6.

Have you tried your local council? The green/kitchen recycling is often turned into compost that is then for sale at discount prices.
