  • Ebay is so much more reliable for event tickets if you know what to look for, and usually cheaper as well

Stardust, how do you know that the tickets can't be changed before they are received. Have you used these people before?

Been going to festivals for years, tickets are non exchangeable between any sites once paid for. The Chelmsford site sells out quicker than them Staff site (Both are sold out for weekend only now but there are still coach weekend tickets left).
Its the same if I brought Leeds tickets but I wanted Reading ones, I would have to find someone to swap.

I also booked tickets through Summerfestivaltickets.com and after a few of my friends alerted me to the fact that this company could be bogus and after reading these blogs, i called up and spoke to 3 different people. I advised that i was concerned that i wouldnt get the tickets and that many people had written blogs warning people to cancel their cards. Although, the manager i spoke to explained that they were for real (and i did actually believe him) i still decided to cancel the transaction just to put both mine and my friends minds at ease. After all £690 is alot of money to lose. I have already received an email to say that the money will be refunded (although obviously this wont appear on my card for a few days). I think what i am trying to say is that this company do seem to be for real. I dont think they would give a refund if not. That said, if my refund doesnt appear on my card - i will be writing again! If you are concerend, contact them via telephone and I am sure they will be happy to put your mind at ease.

Thanks for that Ela. I'm hoping they will contact me today. I have tried to ring several times and been unable to get through so have yet again asked for a callback. Unfortunately they don't help themselves by being easily contactable. Hopefully they are for real as I still want the tickets! Did you discuss the security of the payment screen as the padlock is just a graphic?
  • Hi Jane

Thank you for responding. However, my concerns about your company have not been dealt with by a long stretch.

If you are a genuine company – you’re not doing a terribly good job. Reasons I personally have for concern with your firm:

    - You rarely answer the phone, and when you do you answer ”Hello”, never with the name of your company.
    - When I have asked the call handler to reassure me that you are a reliable company or I ask for their surname – they hang up on me.
    - They never returned any of my call back requests - which feels awful considering the amount of money I was spending !
    - They never replied to my emails
    - Your address appears to be a rented PO box address in Mayfair – not an office. Is Mayfair chosen to make the company appear like it is located in a wealthy area?
    - Your telephone number is on numerous different ticket sites.
    - You have still not answered why there is no security on the site when you enter credit card details?
    - Why are you selling V Tickets at a higher price than everyone else, when everyone else had sold out days ago.
    - Can you reassure everyone that you have these tickets already secured, and if so how did you get them? Virgin do not have you as a registered seller so where did you buy the tickets from?
    - You told my friend she was on a waiting list. What does that mean? Have you got the tickets secured on not?
    - Other sites on the internet say you are Ticket Touts – is that wrong?

I look forward to your reply

My questions are the same as yours Tracey. Indeed I have e mailed this company several times as I have never had a callback or been able to get through. I specifically requested a phone back today after 6, having laid out the serious nature of my concerns and amazingly have still heard nothing. To the staff members who have posted: I still am willing to be convinced that your company is genuine but if you continue to fail to contact me by tomorrow evening I shall be informing the police.
  • OH MY GOD, I did not expect this response-DO NOT believe anything you've read
  • I have reported this thread to abuse for them to have a look at... appears to be lots of AE's at work here and input from the company involved...
    :D
  • OH MY GOD!!! Didnt expect this kind of respone! DO NOT believe anything this so called company says. I've tried a little experiment. I have it on good authority that the little padlock shown in the corner of the screen DOES NOT mean that it is a secure site. However, if you do use a secure site you will notice that your http address changes to https(secure). Try it with ticketmaster, amazon etc etc. With this site it does'nt. My friend booked 100 V tickets with bogus details and still got confirmation telling him his tickets will be sent. Unbelievable!!!!!! And suddenly after all the threads posted they decide to pipe up. According to V, with any confirmation you are told what tickets you've got, Red/Yellow Camping, etc etc. With these guys they have NO IDEA. So you know whats gonna happen.......an email a few days before "it's too late to post tkts so please meet us at this lampost, where no-one else will be and we won't be there" anyone else get this feeling?maybe they are genuine. Perhaps within the next couple of days we will all get emails with true confirmation and sorry for the confusion.........or, maybe not. Please keep this thread going and please please please pass it on to anyone you know about to use this company!!!
  • I reported it too yesterday, what are AE's pls? Moneyworriesme; if you KNOW this company is fraudulent why have you not gone to the police?
