It should be on your invoice (failing that, just use your mobile to ring your landline then dial 1471 from the landline to find out your mobile number). ;)

But you should have had to buy a £10 topup at the time you bought the phone, so there should be £10 credit on it.

Did you buy it online or instore?

I bought mine instore, and the simpack has a sticker on the back which says "Orange pre-activated pack - mobile number ready". It had £10.01 credit on it and the mobile number was printed on the invoice.

(EDIT: I've just had a thought that if you bought it online, the £10 credit will not be applied until after 8 days, in order to comply with Distance Selling Regulations).

BEWARE envirofone have reduced the amount they will give you.

    £15.04 or Argos vouchers £17.30

I ordered a phone yesterday and checked Envirofone before ordering it and it was £51.94, as I thought if I sell it, I'll make enough profit to pay for the silver chair I just bought from Viking Direct, now I'm stuck with a phone I don't want. Are CPW ok with returning PAYG phones and could I return it to the local shop even though I bought it online.

I[m hoping as i ordered a welcome pack with them stating they'll pay me £51.94 that that is what they'll give me in return. Although they will likely hold up the welcome pack so i can't fullfill the contract within 20 days :(.

If they can't or won't i'll keep it.

You can return to cpw for a refund but it has to be unopened and unused and you won't get the money back for the sim you paid for i believe.

I just received my second one this morning, it's clearly a used handset. The seal on the box was broken and the phone and some accessories are out of the bag. The back of the phone is scuffed too.

The terms and conditions state -

From time to time we will change the offer values of mobile phones on the site with no notice. If you trade in a mobile phone we will pay the value on the date of trade

So you should be ok assuming your pack arrives in time.

    thanks beancounter.

In honesty i would be happy with the £29.99 back as although the phone is good, the non permanently adjustable font size on texting is a problem for my ageing eyes.

But if the pack arrives within time (i have high ideas it won't) then so be it :)
