But if the pack arrives within time (i have high ideas it won't) then so be it :)
I wouldn't be so pessimistic - my welcome pack arrived today. :T The Jiffy bag they supply is not very big, so I'll probably just send the phone in it's original box, parcel it up and use one of the extra stickers supplied.

I suspected the Envirofone deal was overly-generous and would be reduced, so I did the deal as soon as I saw the £51.94 offer (even though I was still undecided about what to do). I've now decided to definitely go ahead and trade-in at the agreed price of £51.94, so hopefully it'll all go through smoothly.

    thanks beancounter.

In honesty i would be happy with the £29.99 back as although the phone is good, the non permanently adjustable font size on texting is a problem for my ageing eyes.

But if the pack arrives within time (i have high ideas it won't) then so be it :)

I am finding the text font size a bit of a strain too although I am not too big a texter anyway and am using the phone for work so not a big problem. Quite impressed by the phone otherwise, good value for money, certainly better than the Nokia 1112 my boss gave me:D

There's actually no real reason to wait for the welcome pack to arrive.

As I've said, the Jiffy bag is very small (and I wouldn't trust is to protect the phone if you were to send it on it's own, without a box). You can just package the phone up securely and send it to "Freepost Envirofone" (or the full address is on their website).

They send you a card to fill in and send off with the phone, but all the information is just what is contained in the email they would have sent you to confirm your trade-in, so you could just print off the email and enclose it with your phone.

Just something worth considering if your welcome pack doesn't arrive in time, but I'd say the chances are it'll be dropping through your letterbox anyday now. ;)

Thanks Ian. Yes i was tempted to use their delivery card. http://www.envirofone.com/my-account/default.aspx?link=oUEqruYfCOZQIEH6vpeDuhb4LmleFdkdugr5GXIMn%2fzE9QALxMgB5Vp3JJfIM9RHMGL03nDWlboWkNt7nvIStyrOtOYKf6YPdQSqAXRlWg4%3d

Is that all i need then and package and send with my own jiffy bag, copy of the email and record delivery paid to their address ???

Yep, definitely no reason to wait for a welcome pack if you don't intend on using their Jiffy Bag. You don't need their sticky labels as you can just write on the address, and as you point out, you can print out a delivery card and fill it in - that's all you need.

I included a copy of the email as well when I sent mine off earlier today (although they didn't ask for this) as it includes your customer reference and trade reference (strangely, they don't ask for this information on the delivery card  ).

Anyway, my phone is winging it's way to them as we speak, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed there's no hiccups).

Phone seems great a bargain for the price. Just one thing is where do i get my phone number as its not on the sim pack they sent me and cant seem to find it on the phone.

I had the same problem. You can find it by pressing:

menu, phonebook, then scroll down to number 7 'own number'. It appears there.

BEWARE envirofone have reduced the amount they will give you.

    £15.04 or Argos vouchers £17.30

I ordered a phone yesterday and checked Envirofone before ordering it and it was £51.94, as I thought if I sell it, I'll make enough profit to pay for the silver chair I just bought from Viking Direct, now I'm stuck with a phone I don't want. Are CPW ok with returning PAYG phones and could I return it to the local shop even though I bought it online.

!!!!!!, theyve dropped it even more now now £11.90! Still, Ive decided I now like the phone and have ordrered another one for my wife.

The reason I couldnt buy another one was their security system decided that this was the third phone within a month that my address was buying online from them and blocked it. I phoned and ordered it OK, only think is I miss out on the £5 from Quidco, but my wife wants one of these phones now as well, so still a good phone for £40. And I'll try and sell on the Orange SIM for a fiver (with £10.01 credit on it)

I believe that you can adjust text size on SMS messages. On a text message, go to options, Zoom view and you can enlarge the text size by using the side volume button to scroll the text size between large and small.
