And I'll try and sell on the Orange SIM for a fiver (with £10.01 credit on it)
or you could do as I did and use the credit to apply for a Splash Card (£10 Quidco cashback) and subscribe to Jamster (£4.37 Quidco cashback) - it's easy money and makes this phone even more of a bargain. ;) I bought the phone instore and it's ended up costing me around £15 (after trading in a worthless handset and taking into account the above cashback). If I'd bought it online, I could have had an extra £5 Quidco cashback.

I believe that you can adjust text size on SMS messages. On a text message, go to options, Zoom view and you can enlarge the text size by using the side volume button to scroll the text size between large and small.

Thats per message i think though and wasn't that big either if i recall :(

Thanks for responding though but it was posted of today to envirophone.
A male chef of 4. My restaurant is always full and i don't need to tout for business.

  • Has anyone got a 3 sim card to work in this phone? Won't accept mine for some reason.
  • Another tip for those of you who are annoyed about the short amount of time before the automatic keylock kicks in.

Automatic screen lock can be delayed by increasing the amount of time the backlight is on. So if you want to leave it longet before the keys lock, change the backlight delay time. Settings:Light Settings:Backlight.

Oh, also when the battery goes down the screen will enter a sort of power saving mode conserving the last bit of battery. When you reach low / critical the phone will not allow you to play any java games, listen to music or use the camera.

Go to text and options, go down to No. 11 Text Style and you can alter to small med and large font and bold if want it.

Auto Keypad lock is in Phone settings, No. 8 Extra Settings

I'm not impressed by the 3mp camera, photos seem a lot darker than on my 2mp Nokia 6300

How do you get rid of the G (GPRS) at the top of the screen, it is permanently on, I won't use the phone to access the internet?

Don't 3 get a little upset if you use your sim in a 2G phone anyway?

Just wanted to say a huge thankyou to the original post. I put my brand spankin new phone through the wash and was desperate for a new one.

Handed a really old phone in with charger and manual (which i'm not sure even worked) and got £10 off,

really please, so a BIG thankyou.

Just got to figure out how to work it now!!

Ohh forgot to mention the phone was displayed as £49.99 not the £29.99 price I paid.
