Hi
I've been viewing this thread for a while & you have inspired me to give SW another go.
I have done it many years ago & enjoyed it but was persuaded by mum to join her at WW!!!!
I know it works for a lot of people but not me . I have a large appetite & the idea of free foods have become iresistable.
I hope you don't mind if i pop in from time to time. I do sometimes need inspiration from people.0 -
:T Good luck Joey-lou, I have tried WW to, it was not for me:j:j 2st 8 1/2lb loss in 15 weeks:j :j0

Good morning all,
well i started the day off with full intentions of being super good but didnt plan on my daughter inviting me out for the day. we went shopping and had lunch out at the chinese buffet, although i didnt eat too much it wasnt what you would call SW friendly, tho i had lots of fresh fruit to follow.
so im starting with a clean slate from today, lots of free foods (green) and no syns as im saving them for friday my sister is cooking me a meal and i know ill have a couple of glasses of wine.
i will sign in again soon.DFW red and green memberDoing my best to lose weight and save money0 -

Hi there. I have the new mag so will have a look at that. Many thanks0 -

I too have been thinking about using quark and I've been thinking about using it with pasta on a green day with brocolli (sp) and garlic as a sauce ( using it instead of ricotta.)
If you fancy it I will find the recipe and we could adapt it.
If you prefer something sweet there are a few good recipes on the web site, just type in quark and there are a few that come up.
Weigh in tonight, I've had a good week on plan it's just those old glasses of wine at the weekend that let me down! If only there were syn free wine!
Sue
thanks for your post. that sounds yum. I quite fancy a lasage as I have some quorn mince and tinned tomoatoes and I know there was one in a recent SW mag.
I have two pots of quark so will prob use one for a savery dish and one for a sweet dish. I am toying with the idea of making a sweet version of the slimming world quiche/flan perhaps sticking apples in it and a few sultanas. Would this be a misuse of foods Consultant 31 if i stuck apples in sliced up say?0 -

If apples are cooked they should be synned (or could be a HEB). It depends on how many you use as to whether they would be classed as misuse I imagine. In my opinion (that's to say, not necessarily SWs) if you only use the amount you would normally eat, then it's ok, but SW may well say differently!
Welcome nano84 - look forward to getting to know you.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Lol Moneysaving!!! Hope your weigh in went well. I'm having the same trouble - save my syns for wine on the weekend but have had a couple of bad weeks with eating out so put on 1/2lb this week (to be fair thought it was going to be a LOT worse).
Welcome to everyone new! This is a great group for support and recipe advice:j Bring on the bargains!!!! :j0 -
Hello Everyone!
Weigh in was last night, I can report a loss of 1lb! Thats 2st and 1lb lost now! YEAH!
Might be a bad week this week though, its halloween and I can't help but eat the sweets while waiting for the trick or treaters!

Would like to report a 1 1/2lb loss, so that is 10lb so far. I am pleased as I can honestly say I have never felt hungry and sometimes feel that I eat too much, so to me it doesn't feel like a diet I have just had to change what I eat.
I think I will actually write down and add up my syns properly as I am sure I think I have saved up more for my wine than I have.
In the month I've been doing this I have been gradually feeling more and more healthy and more alive!
Lets hope I can continue, I would add that this thread has been a great support and its lovely to see some new names. I keep looking at it during the day at work and it really keeps me going and remaining positive!
Thanks All
Sue
Well done on everyones losses0 -
Welcome Nano & Joey - I have had loads of help and ideas from here so keep checking in.
Congrats Jolene on your loss - I'm like you I have been trawling the shops for treats to leave out for the kids that I wont eat, my DH put some mini twixes, mini mars bars and mini maltesers in the trolley yesterday for the kids and I got heart palpatations (lol) and freaked and made him put em back , I just cant be trusted! You can stand there and agonize........
Till your agony's your heaviest load. (Emily Saliers)0
