  • How do you make the syn free sausage rolls?

    Easy :p

    2 x quorn sausages
    2x slices wholemeal bread
2x laughing cow extra light triangles

Grill the sausages till are slightly golden.
use a rolling pin to flatten the bread and spread over the triangles ( one on each slice)
place the sausages at the edge of the bread then roll to seal.
spray baking try with frylight and bake for 20minutes.

    THEN ENJOY!!!! :A

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok. Well I had WI last night and can report a loss of 1.5lbs. I've got mixed feelings about that, I really tried religiously hard last week with my 'back to basics' regime and as I seem to 'usually' lose 1lb a week it seemed an awful lot of hard work for an extra half lb. However, I am pleased that I'm still losing as I'm sure I'll hit a 'wall' any day soon. Also my consultant tells me that it is a healthy weight loss when you consider I've been doing it since April and have now lost a total of 3 st 4.5lbs and in any case if I genuinely think it should have been more it may register on the scales next week. I'm away at friends for Sunday, Monday and part of Tuesday so I'll have to try and restrain myself!!

Have been attending SW since end of February, its been a slow journey but I had lost 1 1/2stone prior to my holiday... Florida, say no more! I ate for England and drunk loads of fizzy drinks (unfortunately not all diet coke... why oh why don't they sell diet sprite in theme parks!) and hence put on 6lbs!!

Since I've been back for some reason I cannot get myself motivated, I've fallen into my old trap of not eating breakfast and it doesn't help that I haven't been able to attend class for 2 weeks due to work and I find I cheat if I know I'm not getting weighed.

Yesterday I thought I'd try getting back on track after reading these posts some of you are an inspiration but because I can't get hold of my consultant to get the password (I've only got a landline number) I seem to be using that as an excuse if I can't look up a syn value!! I'm going round in circles...

Can anyone give me a kick up the backside and also some advise on whats helped them get back on track.

    Hx

This is a message I wrote yesterday for someone on another board with much the same plea as yours. I hope it may help:-

We are here to help and support, but YOU are the only one who can get yourself slimmer, fitter and, more importantly, healthier.

I have come across very few people who start SW (or any other plan) and lose weight without falling off the wagon several times during the course of their journey. It boils down to commitment and the willingness to change old habits.

Planning is the key to successful weight loss.

Spend time planning how you're going to achieve your aims.
Spend time planning your shopping so you're never caught out without low syn foods around.
Spend time planning your menus for the week.
Spend time planning what you'll do or say when life gets in the way (as it often does).

Occasionally in my groups I ask members
“ Hands up who wants to lose weight…”
    “ Hands up who’s willing to take a challenge…”
“ The challenge is to fill in a food diary just for this week. Fill it in as if you were a new member. Double check your food lists (specially for HEs and syns). Write down everything as and when you eat it. Try to eat basic Free Foods rather than convenience foods and include 5 Speed or Super Speed foods every day and don't forget to weigh everything which isn't free food.

Invariably it produces really good weight losses from members who've been doing the plan for ages and playing with the same couple of pounds (up one week, down the next) for ages, and I think this proves how planning and commitment can really show results.

Now up to you to make the commitment, make a shopping list, get the necessary food in, plan your recipes and start losing the weight to become the you that you really want to be.

    Good luck
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Do you know - I had wondered the same thing myself

I did think though that it needs 1 tbsp per process - so that could be for one portion or for several.... also you could have 1 tbsp olive oil as a HEB.

I decided against it ultimately - seemed a lot of money :o and I have recently started to make hugely sucessful (SW) chips - it has taken a while, but I have got there!

FWIW I use Maris Piper potatoes, drop them into already boiling water, lid back on, for exactly 4 mins. drain, shake, spray, straight into the oven at 200deg for about 25 mins.

I didn't think of having olive oil as a HEb, that could work. To be honest we barely have chips but I do like them sometimes as they make a change from mash, and no-one but me like boiled potatoes, so always end up mashed...

I can't wait until March I will be joining the club down the road I will be so slim before returning to work....
