thanks Skint-catt. yes i was using the breadcrumbs as a HEB (i made them myself from old WM bread) and they probably aren't 57g worth. So should i perhaps eat the remaining grams of HEB as WM bread?
NAturally i doubt I can take stuff - it's a fundraiser for the school so would probably be considered very bizarre. i reckon if I have a late big breakfast then temptation will be much reduced (nothing like hoovering down a hamburger when a bit peckish!)0 -
hello
i dont know how long you have been doing slimming world but you shouldnt be too hard on yourself. A half pound is not much and could simply be that you still had your lunch inside you. Also if you prefer green days to red then green items take longer to work through your system and you need more fluid to assist it. Also some member puts on up to half a stone when its their star week.
It sounds like you are doing fab so I think you deserve a bit pat on the back. Its good to be economical with your syns and I wish I had your willpower but dont be too hard on yourself and make sure you enjoy the odd treat now and again.
Flat Eric, I just want to say a huge thank you for your post. Ive only just seen it, so sorry for not replying sooner. It has made me smile and made me feel loads better. had an all green week so far (its still a week till payday and pasta is cheap!) LOL but feel like its working great. With your words of encouragement its just made it even betterYou're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -

Ive been following the principles of SW for about a year, but only been going to class for the last 11 weeks so I'm relatively a beginner! had an all green week so far (its still a week till payday and pasta is cheap!) Argh help! I have messed up on a "red" day and wonder if I can salvage it into a mix to match day?
b'fast - banana
Mid morning (11.30am ish) leftover cous cous salad (free on green)
1pm 100g ham with low fat pineapple cottage cheese and 3 plain rvita (B)
I was hoping to do a red dinner tonight (the steak & mustard stir fry-ish thingy that is in the magazine) ... is the day salvagable if I use 85g of my ham as a HEb and syn the other 15g (help!) or is the timings of what I ate for snack/ lunch too far apart to turn it green and use it as mix to match??
Just call it a tartan day and start again tomorrow!
It's probably too late to try and advise you now, but if you went ahead with your steak & mustard stirfry, I'd call it a red day and count the syns for the couscous.
Let us know what you decided.

well today started well but its gone pear shaped and I feel cross as I was hoping to have the perfect week. Weekends are my danger times and today has been no exception!!!!.
burger and chips ordered at the pub at lunchtime (plus a J20), ordered in a total moment of utter madness. i had finished my meal and sat looking at my plate, thinking to myself, why the hell did I just eat that? i didnt actually enjoy it!
Likewise with my tea (my gammon (over the 2HEB weight) and jacket chips - ok fine but not helped by the unmeasured sweet chilli sauce.
Ive also had 25ml of voda mixed with slimline tonic and ice and lemon plus a 175 ml glass of wine (and a shot of sambucca is calling.....) plus a m&s toffee muffin desert which actually was horrible and I didnt enjoy it either (and at 9.5 syns - what a waste). oh and the four m&S swiss chocolates - will be giving these away tomorrow! I bet they were about 4 syns each!
so there, confession over!!! im shocked that instead of the planned jacket and beans at the pub, the words goumet burger came out of my mouth.
I kind of feel that because todays gone pear shaped, I might as well eat what I want tomorrow but I know that with weekends being my danger times, i need to try and plan them better. If it hadnt been for the burger and chips and the swiss chocs, it wouldnt actually have been too bad a day.
how do you cope during your danger times? what is your ultimate comfort food? do you just say stuff it, i will have what I want or do you have the perfect slimmign world alternative?
incidentally, I am keeping a food diary this week which I was planning on handing in - do I detail the above or shall i skirt roung the issue?0 -

I would make your food diary 100% accurate and truthful, your consultant can assist you correctly then. If they don't know what you've eaten they cannot help.
One burger and chips isn't going to destroy everything. We all have weaker moments, the plan is designed so that these don't have to mean the end of the world.
Record the syns as best you can for what you had, it probably won't look quite so bad as you think anyway, but even if it does, well we're humans not robots - tomorrow is another day.0 -
oh, flat-eric, this happens to all of us. Quite often I mean to say 'mixed salad with no dressing' and 'fish and chips pops out!! As Dux says one off plan meal won't wreck everything.
I also had a bad day yesterday, as I went out and had several glasses of wine that were over my sin allowance. I'm also annoyed because I am trying not to drink. once again, I meant to say, 'diet coke , please' and 'big glass of white wine' popped out! Clearly I need to sellotape my mouth shut, it gets me into no end of trouble.
So my meals yesterday were:
Breakfast - shredded wheat (HEB) and milk (HEA)
Lunch - soup - stock, pasta and yellow peas (same as yesterday but with pulses added) Salad (F) dressing (2 sins), cheese (HEA)
Snack - two apples, cereal bar (no idea of sins, can't find it on the website)
Dinner - pasta with HM tomatoe sauce (F), 4 Ikea meatball (stolen from kids), raspberries.
alcohol - probably half a bottle of wine (but frankly was not looking to hard).
So not the best day but probably not the worst. today I have the barbeque and a headache!0 -
Good luck to everyone, if you're like me dread the weekend, I have my meal tonight with friends and one of them is not happy unless I have a drink in my hand, sure he loves seeing me perform when I've had a few!!
But started well today strawberries and greek yoghurt for b/fast, off to spend some of my birthday money, so hopefully will take my mind off food!!December 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0
