Was doing so well - mushroom omlette fro brekkiw, fruit all day, leftover shepherds pie with swede for lunch - but had a splitting headache since lunch (can hardly see) and OH only just getting on train in London so won't be home for an hour and a half :( Looks like a takeaway if I want to eat tonight :(
  • I have just seen your post Catt. Sorry you are feeling so terrible. Look after yourself, and eat what you fancy - I get occasional migraines, and in all honesty I dont usually want to eat anything, but eat something, get better and jump back on the plan tomorrow morning..

    <<big hugs>>

I joined slimming world almost 2 weeks ago. I weight 20 stone and 2 lbs. :( And I'm enormous....not like some people who are just a bit portly. My stomach is just gross, though the rest of me is not so bad. I look pregnant (I'm a bloke!).

At my second meeting I had lost an incredible 12.5 lbs. Which I'm pleased with. I don't yet look any thinner, but that will come.

This week I have eaten more than I did last week, although I have hardly used any syns, it's mostly been free food. I am hoping this will enable the weight loss to continue...I certainly hope so. Obviously it won't be at that initial huge rate, but as long as I can lose a couple of pounds a week, I'm fine.

I'm not after a slender slim look, I am aiming for about 15 stone, whereby I'll still be qu8ite big, but not fat and obese.

    Hello Everyone,

Weigh in was on Wednesday night, lost 1.5lbs, got 2 more to lose for my 2st award. I am aiming to get my 3st award at the end of the year, hopefully I can do it.

hello. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Im preparing my tesco home delivery order and just wondered what other members would advise is the perfect roasted veg mix ? and what do you use as an alternative when both HEB have been used up meaning you cant have a potato option

I thought I would also share with other members, a recipe I tried at the weekend. I got the idea from the book fast food classics although not the proper book but a free book I think that got given away with a slimming world mag. The recipe is for spiced roasted baby new potatoes.

I didnt follow this recipe but instead cooked the small potatoes in my microwave on the jacket potato setting. 5 mins before microwave beeped, I sprayed some frylight on a baking tray. Once cooked, I tipped the potatoes on to the now hot baking tray. I sprinked the potatoes with smoked parprika, ground cumin and chilli flakes and lots more frylight.

I cooked for about 30 mins on 180 degress / 200 degrees on fan assisted electric oven or until skins of potatoes were crispy. I served the potatoes with the Total 0% greek yogurt and sweet chili sauce. The greek yogurt tasted like sour cream. Next time I do this recipe, im going to add the bacon as my HEB and cheese as HEA to make the perfect yummy snack !

Flat Eric, we've done courgette, garlic & peppers before now - some people use butternut squash roasted too but I've never tried it. You can add potato to this if you have a HEb left or leave it out.
