savoury rice - either the Tescos value or the offer in asda. Plain dried pasta (make your own vegetable sauces), plain rice (goes with all sorts of things). Bacon's often on offer somewhere (Morrisons usually!) and Morrisons sausages are free too (£1.99 for 8 IIRC). Frozen mixed veg is free too IIRC and you can add it to HM soups, with meat for dinner, into currys etc! Yoghurts too are usually on offer somewhere as is tuna (canned).

I find the cheese the most expensive - I have babybel lights as a snack to use up my HEa - £2 for 12 (but you can have 3 a day)

yeah cheese is def a difficult one, i love it and use it with almost everything
i take it morrissons sausages are meat free to be syn free as the lowest syn sausages, the less than 5% fat ones are 1/2-1 syn.

I love my mince, am big on chillis etc just now and loving chickpeas, lentils and kidney beans for bulking them out (chickpeas are wonderful in curry as well)

Ho hum ... onwards and downwards. I really really really hoped that by the end of september I would have got my stone award - this is going to take a(nother) monumental effort - 3lb in 2 weeks  Oh well, I can give it a go!

This week I am trying green. Hope it works! Tonight - polenta!
