I'm going to try the free pizza with the potato base. Sounds awful, tbh, but I'll give it a go and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.
I've got SW chips in the oven. Friday night would normally be chip shop F&C night, so I'm giving DD nuggets and SW chips so she doesn't feel like she's missing out too much. It probably sounds like I'm thinking more of her than of me, but you hear so much about kids with eating disorders I'm being super careful with what messages she gets. That's why SW is so good, as she can see me eating loads rather than nibbling on a lettuce leaf.
It will get trickier when I go back to work as I'll need to be super organised to make sure I have the quiches etc. made in advance.0 -

I made the potato base pizza and, sorry to say this, but I didn't like it. It was very dry and for the amount of time it took to make, not worth it :mad:We’ve had to remove your signature. Hey everyone,
Please can i join this group now i'm an official slimming world member!?
I have to admit, i'm a bit daunted, it looks complicated to me. I haven't had time to shop though, so i'm struggling with red/green food options. I went green and had egg, mushrooms, and tomatoes for lunch, and bean chilli and potatoes for dinner. Had to use some syns to have my frosties for breakfast tho.

Welcome to the threa and to the SW way of eating healthily while losing weight. I can almost guarantee that within the week you'll have the red/green plans off to heart.
It can look complicated but it's really not. Your lunch of egg, mushrooms and tomatoes could have included baked beans too (another free food) which would have given you extra fibre and therefore helped to keep you feeling full for longer.
Once the Frosties are all gone, try Weetabix or Shredded Wheat Bitesize or (my favourite) Shreddies. They can all be classed as a HEB.
OR, you can have a syn-free breakfast which gives you the chance to save the HEBs for later in the day. My favourite Green day syn-free breakfast is to take plain couscous, cover in boiling water and leave till absorbed, then stir in a Mullerlight and add some chopped fresh fruit. I love this and it keeps me full for around 4 hours (not easy as I love my food).
Good luck for your first weigh-inI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Oh ... and it wasn't Consultant that asked you all what your Xmas target was - it was me!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
TG xxxxThis is true, all I did was point out how many weeks were left and how fab you'd feel with a stone (or even 2) off by then.
It's great to make a mini-target but don't forget to also work out how you're going to achieve it (what changes you're going to make to your shopping, cooking and eating habits).
I can't find the post now but feel sure I saw someone who wanted to lose 3 stone by Christmas and I don't think that's really achievable (not healthily anyway). The problem with making a target like this is, when you fail (which is almost inevitable) then you tell yourself you're a failure, can't do anything right etc and fall off the wagon bigtime. Much better to aim lower and achieve what you've aimed for
We should aim to lose weight at a rate of between 1 and 2 pounds a week - any more and you run the risk of losing lean muscle tissue which will mess with your metabolism, making it harder to lose at all.
So, an achievable mini-target for the next 16 weeks. Who's up for it and how will you work out how you're going to get there?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
OK, 16 weeks.
I go on holiday in 30 weeks and I want to be 21lbs lighter by then. So in 16 weeks I should be more than half way there. And given that it gets tougher the further on you go, I should be comfortably more than half way there really. Half way is 10.5lbs, so if I aim for a stone by Christmas, that means I "only" have 7 lbs to go in the remaining 14 weeks.
How am I going to get there? Well, like I say I have my meal plan, and I am working on adding SW breakfasts and lunches to it, and making the lunches fit round work (e.g. Thursday I am so rushed off my feet I can barely eat so that lunch needs to be really easy to eat quickly. Tuesday I have a longer lunchbreak and there is a microwave, so I can take in a can of beans or ravioli or something.) I then do my Tesco order from my meal plan, so I should have everything in that I need for that week.
I need to average about a pound a week till Christmas, and even I should manage that (gulp!).0 -
Could someone tell me who makes mugshots and where they would be in the supermarket-in with pasta and noodles maybe?December 2011 Sesky Watch, strimmer, tv, hoover & steam cleaner. March 2012 Straw dogs blueray film.0

Ok have bitten the bullet and signed up. Went to my first class last night. I joined on the scheme where you prepay and get 12 weeks for the price of 10 - I need to do this to keep me committed or chances or with a bad result I would quit - I know what I am like. So today I have listed my food intake below - is it right? Feel v full
28g fruit/fibre with ss milk and banana
flavoured cottage cheese with salad and 4 sesame ryvita
mullerlight and banana
full tin of bean and 2 poached eggs
Could not eat another thing now to be honest. And also can I ask what is the deal about drinking lots of water - I have seen a few of you mentioning this.
Thanks0 -
Made by Symingtons, apparently

and in our Tesco they are on the same aisle as the packet soups and cup-a-soups.0 -
Hi, I just looked it up on Google. They're made by Symingtons, who I've never heard of. Yes, I'd look where the packet pastas and noodles are.

We've both been looking at the same time.0
