well done, that's a loss to be proud of
thank you - hadn't even been that well behaved in last 7 days:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
Judderman - WooHoo! :j 3lb - that's great - keep an eye on next week though if this week was a bit naughty
Mrs E - I am so very sorry that this round didn't work out for you. Please take care of yourself. :grouphug:
Studentsynner - Sorry to hear that your house was burgled. You are totally forgiven for hitting the syns - many of us would have done the same in the circumstances. I had this when I was a student too, it really doesn't matter that they didn't take much of my stuff, it was the general violation that was so horrid. Hugs for you too... :grouphug:
Personally I have had a rubbish day - travelled hours (from suffolk to yorkshire) to attend the funeral of a university friend who had died from cancer (of the everything) last week. At only 35 years old, this is my first non-aged-relative funeral, and so was terribly terribly sad. The service was beautiful and very fitting, but the buffet was an SW nightmare. Unsurprisingly, funerals don't leave you terribly hungry (once I actually thought about it and tried to override my 'grazing' instinct), but I am proud of myself that for the 8 hours on the train I fed happily on trashy novels and fruit.
Tomorrow will be a better day.
Consultant - Christmas seems such a long way away, but I would love to hit my club 10 by then. that's another 9lb. here we go again! :j
Can I just say that having been away for (only) 24 hours, there were 3 pages of really kind, thoughtful, caring and supportive posts to come back to. Maybe its my mindset right now, but it is lovely being part of this group of people who offer support to 'strangers'.
:grouphug:big hug to all. :grouphug:0 -

sorry to hear about the funeral
Aww and your last paragraph is so nice - nice to see - so much of MSE , esp DT and the Arms, is now so filled with extremely unpleasant people - really become a bit of a cesspit it is indeed nice to have nice folk on here too.
Funnily enough I have been doing this for a lass I have added as a friend on facebook - only chatted to her a handful of times and recently she has been going through a rough patch so have been keeping touch with her and been there for her - sent her two messages last night - second one took me an hour to type out and send - and got to bed at 01:00 :eek::eek:Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing

Hey, insincere, we started on the same day! Have you done SW before? Because you can eat lots! (Not sure I could eat 6 eggs in a sitting though LOL).
After being starving all day on day 1, I was full on day 2. My day 2 was
Breakfast : half a can of beans on 2 small slices of HM wholemeal bread. I weighed the slices and each one was about 40g, so I have counted the bread here as 2 x B options
Lunch : savoury rice quiche (made it with 3 eggs, pot of cottage cheese and packet of savoury rice, and I have enough left for lunch today) and a large salad. I had my A option as grated cheese with my salad.
Mid afternoon : banana and some grapes
Dinner : lentil burgers and HM tomato sauce and rice, followed by a mousse made with sugar free jelly and a mullerlite, and blackberries and blueberries on top. (OMG was I stuffed after that lot LOL, but determined to do the occasional pud so DD doesn't feel she is missing out, and learns that if she needs to lose weight she can do it this way rather than by cutting meals and starving herself)
Evening : glass of wine (6 Syns)
The lentil burgers and tomato sauce were made before I started SW so the burgers had breadcrumbs on the outside and the sauce was made with olive oil, but the burgers and the sauce have done 3 meals for the family, so I reckon 3 syns tops, and I'll cost out the syns properly or change the recipes when I make them next time.
Once again I feel like I am eating way too much to lose weight, but I felt this way last time and it worked, so I'll keep faith!0 -
2cats1kid - well done - glad you're not starving anymore! Don't forget the syns in the SF jelly! If you like your puddings there is a way of making syn free rice pudding with mullerlights - search the thread or someone will post it for you. Haven't tried it yet although the pudding rice has been in the cupboard for god knows how long!0
-
Hmmm, so I thought it was like 1/2 a syn for the jelly. Am I wrong then? And the pud did 3 of us, and I am so not going to start counting 1/6 of a syn LOL. If it's more than that, then fair dos. (You are probably getting an indication of my freestyle approach to SW and why I normally only lose 1/2 - 1lb a week!!!)
I have seen the rice pudding and will definitely try it. DD won't eat milk puddings, but will eat yogurt (go figure). When I said mousse she turned her nose up, but I told her it was yogurt and jelly and she likes both of those. When she tried it, she couldn't get enough and had put in an order for it again! So I may have to work on her a bit more for the rice pudding thing, but I'll certainly try, as it is made with water, isn't it?
Off for me weetabix now. And then some more meal planning so I can keep myself straight. I have a 7 week meal plan for dinners, and am adding in breakfasts and packed lunches so I don't fall back on sandwiches and toast. Boy, is it a boring job though!0 -
I'm just wrapping up my day 2. And i swear ive eaten more in the last two days than i have for years. Im weeing every five minutes and even after ive just eaten im starving, i dont get it. My tummy is rumbling constantly.
I weighed myself yesterday and im 14stone 12 lb 1/4.
Which means i have just under 5 stone to loose, and i thought i had four.
I recon that if i pln on 2lb a week that ill be ten stone for the end of April/ start of May.
So a long long long long way to go.
Does anyone have any advice on how to mak yourself feel full on green days? I had a massive bowl of pasta with chopped toms and veges and yet i was still starving.
Today ive had
1 slice brown bread from an 800g loaf (B Choice)
2 Musli Ryvita (B Choice)
2 Laughing cow extra light triangles (A Choice)
No Syns
A tin of beans
Scrambled egg (6 eggs)
Mushrooms
A Tamato
A Tin of sweetcorn
A Banana
An Apple
Some yellow melon
A Bowl of Pasta and Chopped tamotos with peppers and onion and mushrooms.
That looks ok-ish, remember you can have 6 Laughing Cow extra-light, or 5 of the light ones as one of your A choices, and you can have another A choice as well - 28g grated cheese on your bowl of pasta maybe?
If you're hungry it means you're not filling up enough on your free foods. On a Green Day you could have a jacket potato or some rice at lunchtime. Or a "Mugshot" (we love them on this forum!!) - like a Pot Noodle but you make them in a mug and the Noodle ones and the Tomato Pasta flavour are FREE
Quorn is fabulous and it's free. I used to turn my nose up at it but now I love it, especially the burgers and the chicken pieces. So with your bowl of pasta you could have had a Quorn 'Chicken' breast, or a couple of their Mexican burgers, or a Pepper "Steaks"
Muller Light yogurts are free as well. I tend to get the munchies between 5pm (when I'm doing the kids tea) and 8pm when hubby gets in and we eat, so I sometimes have a big bowl of fresh fruit (raspberries are my favourite) topped with a Vanilla Muller light at about 5.30 and that sees me through. And it's all FREE!
Make sure you drink plenty as well. Water is fab, it flushes you out! Also all diet drinks are good especially diet Tonic (our Peachey on here swears by it) and I love Asda's Diet Cranberry juice.
The first week I did it, I was eating so much fruit that on about the 3rd day I swear I spent more time on the toilet than off it!! Luckily my body settled down quite quickly though!!!!
And please make sure you have Syns as well! You won't lose more weight if you don't have them. I made that mistake. When I started, Week 1 I had 10-15 Syns a day and lost 5lb. Week 2, I had 10-15 Syns a day and lost another 5lb. Week 3 I cut my Syns down to 1-5 a day and lost nothing. So use them - I like to use them to add flavour to my meals eg. with sauces, mayonnaise, or even a packet mix to a stew or something like that. Or have a glass of wine, crisps or biscuits. SW isn't about starving yourself and not enjoying your food, if you fancy something, have it!!
Anyhow, I think I read somewhere that this forum is gonna be down tomorrow, and we are going away tomorrow - going down to see the Lions of Longleat :j - and aren't back until Tuesday, so I hope everyone has a good weekend and good luck for your Weigh-ins next week.
Oh ... and it wasn't Consultant that asked you all what your Xmas target was - it was me!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey 2cats1kid! Yes we can be slimming buddies! ive nevr done it before, i did the cambridge diet last year and lost 4 stone in 3 months, but ive put on 5 stone since so that was a waste of time. I loved the diet as i didnt feel hungry and wasnt stuffing my face. I alctually feel more hungry on this, and guilty asd im eating constantly and dont feel full. Plus the weeing all the time is driving me mad, i drink my 5 pints of water a day and im in the loo three times and hour! lol.
TractorGilr327 - thanks for the advice. Im being good with my syns and saving them up so i can make a pizza once a week from scratch and have that as pizza is my one true love and if i can have one a week on a staurday night i know i can stick to this diet. My plan is to make up a base with a 145g packet of pizza base mix from Asda, plonk it on a tray sprayed with frylight, smother in passata and veges and add 2x 28g of cheese from my two a Choices from the day.
I dont think that will be over the 60 ish syns i plan to store up over the week, and i can still have my fav thing. in theory!SW Started 27/08/0868.5 lb to LooseSo far lost 18lb - 06/09/08
