Penny whilst I understand your sentiments,I don't think they are entirely fair.I for one would happily pay my weekly fees if there was a consultant in my area worth the money!I have tried both the classes in my local area and I'm sorry but they were both absolutely hopeless!Disinterested, uninspirational and frankly, boring.I attended 3 meetings at each class (I joined twice approx 2 1/2 years apart and when I checked the website they were both still there) and when I left/didn't return neither of them even bothered to contact me - which I've since been told they should?!I think if you're are lucky enough to have a great consultant you're blessed but if you're not then you can end up feeling ripped off and unsupported, whether you can afford the fees or not. This is the reason many people don't go to their local class.

So I'm sorry but,no,I won't be going to class again unless the consultants in my area change!

Whilst I understand that you have a good reason for not attending a group, I think Pennylane had a valid argument in pointing out that members do pay a fee which includes the 'exclusive' use of the SW website and it does indeed seem very unfair to them that others get this privilege for free through websites such as this. This site is of course a money saving one and that sems to be a good enough reason for most, but it does rather rub a fee-paying members nose in it!

I am happy to help anyone on this site (or any other) who is following the SW plan and needs support, recipes etc, but I draw the line at giving the password out - I can just imagine what my members would say!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Has everyone noticed the Tesco bargains, including 4 kiwi fruit at 50p (rock hard but can sit in my fruit bowl for a week or two!), baby new potatoes at 50p, frozen cherries for £1 and frozen blackberries for £1. The frozen fruit offers end on Wednesday so be quick!

My consultant said there's a new SW recipe book out. It's called something like One Pot Cookery. Has anyone seen this?

Yes, it's a small square book like the Summer Foods one. My consultant had it last week and I think it's £3.50

There is one on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Slimming-World-One-Pot-Wonders-NEW-OUT-Hi-Fi-Bars_W0QQitemZ130246126596QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130246126596&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318

yeah they had it in class last week, it seems good as it says simple recipes that can be cooked all in one pot. I think it will be handy for the colder weather myself if it can get any colder than our summer that is!!

Brrr .. it's cold out here in "Social Siberia" Consultant31 .... so thank you for that!!;) :rotfl: :rotfl: I know you have given masses of support on here (including to me) and I always encourage/praise other SW'ers on here too. I have also posted recipes for people and answered questions where I can.

The passing on of the Password is a bit like someone paying to take their driving test, passing and then giving their licence to someone else I think or passing on a wristband which they've paid for (say on an All Inclusive holiday) so that others can get free drinks etc.

Been to weigh in and I have put on 1.5 lbs, I was expecting a gain as we had a family party at the weekend, and I didn't hold back  I think the fact that I was wearing a fleece top and thick trousers didn't help, but it's like Winter here today

I bought the one-pot wonders cookbook today, it is £4.50 and there are some lovely recipes in there
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Thanks, I'll get it when I go to WI tomorrow. I've got 100 Free Original Recipes, there are some great recipes in there. I've made the Tuna Quiche, that was lovely and it's very filling. I also did the Beef in Oyster Sauce from the magazine which I've posted. If I can have nice meals it may help to keep me on the plan, the problem is I keep wanting chocolate and all those things that made me put weight on. :(

I'll have to keep remembering that old saying, 'Nothing tastes as nice as being slim feels.'
