Ajgrist - Well done on losing 11lbs. That's amazing in such a short time.:j Actually there was much discussion at our SW group this week about people giving the password to other people and people on forums asking for it and it being PM'd.

The vast majority said they wouldn't do it because we all pay our weekly fee and often transport costs to get to group. The class fees are pretty reasonable really and we get the mag cheaper too, which is very good. You also get email/telephone contact with your counsellor and of course the site itself.

I know this is a money-saving site and we're all watching the pennies but it doesn't seem very fair really .... especially when people on this forum give others LOADS of support, recipes and ideas for free.

Judderman, I'm the same as you at the moment. Started off full of enthusiasm and lost 7lbs in the first two weeks, but last week put ½lb back on. I've been eating all the wrong things for a few days and am going to text the consultant to say I can't make it next week. I don't want to go to the effort of going to class just to be told I've gained. :(

It means getting back on track and getting back on the plan. Otherwise all our effort in the initial stages was a waste of time. It's such a lovely feeling when you see yourself looking slimmer.

Come on - no more thoughts of donuts!! :A

Yeah I know - I have lost almost 2 stone so can look at that for inspiration , but sometoimes the temptation is just soooo strong.

Anyway I'm off to bed - night all

  • Morning all..Well i had my WI this morning and have lost 1lb:T I only have 5lbs to go now to target and that seems really achievable now..Have done lots of exercise too this week and am generally feeling pretty good about myself.

Emma i would try and go to class if I were you. Its not always as bad as you think its going to be. You may have had a small gain but it will soon come off again if you get back on track...I find that once i start missing class its usually the begining of the end for me and it all goes to pot after that...I hope you can get back in the zone soon:j

Emma and Judderman - it's disheartening isn't it but at least you know WHY you are not losing so well at the mo. If we stick to the plan we lose weight generally - although having said that I'm doing just that and exercising but standing still. Wondering if it's HRT because I changed that recently.

I just remembered :o we went out yesterday to an outdoor event and all they had to eat was cakes/tea/coffee. Not a thing savoury and we were miles from anywhere. I had a small slice of lemon sponge cake with my coffee and I had not eaten cake since March when I started SW. I actually felt quite uncomfortable all afternoon and it reminded just how much better I feel from cutting stuff like that out of my diet.

I no longer take pills from GP for acid indigestion and am SURE it's because I'm eating healthier.

Try and stay positive, because once you get it in your head you are "failing" and you avoid going to group, people seem to very quickly fall by the wayside. Try and focus on anything positive about your weight loss. I keep having to remind myself that although I've stayed the same for 3 weeks now, I just bought a skirt 2 sizes smaller and it's on the loose side and someone last week said they can see from my back that I've lost weight.

    Well done Mrs Evans!!

You SHOULD go to class, even if you've gained - you'll have to pay anyway, and I know I get great support from my consultant and members. You'll leave the meeting in a better frame of mind ... trust me!

Hello there everyone, just popped in to say that at my WI on Thursday nite I lost 3lbs!! I got my 3stone award and I am really chuffed.
The support and praise I get in my class really spurs me on, and makes me feel great.
Well done all of you, you're doing so well. Even the ones who are 1 foot off the wagon are brave for sticking with it, and we all know how hard it is to get back in the drivers seat- you will get there.

    Just look at that - 3st for Furr and 2st 11 for TractorGirl:T :T

WHERE does it all go I ask myself?? It's incredible when you think about it. Can't wait to hit my 2 stone mark though! I've been out shopping this morning and my trolley is full of all healthy stuff (for all of us) and just a few bits for the others for packed lunches - like crisps, choc bars and pkts of raisins etc. Am cooking salmon with tons of roasted veg and new potatoes. Followed by fresh local strawberries with very low fat creme fraiche.

THEN I'm going on a long bike ride!
