Hi everyone. I've been doing the Slimming World diet for just over a week now. I've managed to shift 3.5 pounds so am chuffed so far! :D

I do struggle on a green day with what to have.... I always seem to revert back to the old favourite - jacket potato, beans and pasta in sauce!

Now that I've found this thread I will search through and try to find some more interesting recipes!!

    Kirsten

Kirsten - Slimming world chips are nice and with baked beans and egg they make quite a treaty meal.

Another fave of mine and dead easy to make iis astir fry of mushroms and peppers and have some boiled rice with it - I usually chuck some chilli or curry powder in the stir fry to give it some ooomph )use fry light for the frying of course)

    good luck :beer::beer:
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
    Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying

Ok I have also been doing this a week ago yesterday. I gave myself a weight in today and I have lost 1 1/2 pound. Not quite as much as I wanted my goal was 2. But I had domino's a couple of nights ago so I knew that was gonna spoil it lol. Still a loss is a loss so thats good. I should be able to free up more sins now as I have finished off my cocopops so am now having 2 weetabix in the morning. If not HEB how many sins is weetabix?
  • I don't have one, but a friend does and she swears by it. I ended up with a Remoska instead

Excuse my ignorance but what is a REMOSKA?Is it some sort of slow cooker/rotisserie?I've heard of it,think I've seen it in the lakeland book or something but everything's usually so expensive in there I tend not read it properly!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Joined SW last week, as I'd been stuck at same weight since May 15th after losing 30lbs on WW. Amazingly, after eating like a horse, I've lost 5lbs in my first week!!!!!:j

To say I'm over the moon is an understatement. Still can't get my head around the fact that I can eat so much and still lose weight!!!

Having my first green day today, so egg and chips for dinner! Yummy!!

It's like a mini oven, the heating element is in the lid. YOu can cook a complete meal in there, or cakes and biscuits. If you check out the Old Style forum, there is a thread on there about them.

Also, if you do a search for Remoska on the net, there is loads of info.

I like it because it saves me having to turn the oven on and waiting for it to warm up

yum yum - love curry me :)

I don't know the syn values, but here are the things I would consider. There will inevitably be syns in it all because of the oil used, but If you are sybn free for the day, I think you can keep to the rules if you plan ahead amd make good choices....

Green day, other than plain rice (free) I would suggest that the lower synned things would be vegetable biriani, dhals, sag aloo, aloo gobi etc (I often consider that the side dish vegetables are quite good on green). You could probably consider a tandoori chicken piece, or tandoori prawns as a HEB if you miss the meaty bits too much

I think red day is a lot trickier to build a meal from, tandoori chicken or prawns from the starter menu. Maybe a shaslik (chargrilled chunks of meat and veg on a stick) is a good option with even a tarka dahl (lentils) or chana masala (chickpeas) as a HEB??
