hi, bringmeshoes, im taking tablets that increases the apetite and weight gain (prednisolone) thats y ive started this plan (4th day), last time i was on steroids i gained 4 stone. although i lost it all as i came of them, but now im back on them again i dont wanna gain all that waeight again. good luck!
hi trisha , I know where your coming from . Ive been on steroids for 5yrs and piled on 6st. They are not the best medication to be taking, but essential for certain condtions. I was on 60mg to begin with and finally after 5yrs im down to 2mg and hoping to be off them completely by xmas. They gave me an enormous appetite and i would eat food that i didnt even like. Now i eat less than my 14yr old. the only thing i can suggest is to fill up on as much free food as possible. Use all your HE's both A'S and B's. I tend to stick to red days with the occasional green one thrown in for variety.. Plan is one of the key things and like peachy said drink loads of water.
your not alone and good luck

Im not sure Skint as ive never made them before , but im gonna try the one out of the SW mag. I would just make a syn free tomatoe sauce and heat them up in that. They use passata ,sweetner, garlic, celery (which i hate so i wont use ), onion, carrot and fry light. Fry onion carrot celery and garlic in fry light for about 6 mins. Then add passata and sweetner, cover and simmer for 30 mins , stirring occasionaly. just add your meatballs and cook through..Enjoy
    hope this helps

morning all. I have to admit, where I struggle is when my routine gets thrown off track, so working different shifts from normal and so on. I know I need to plan plan plan but sometimes I struggle to get out of bed for an early shift (when I need to leave for work at 0345!) and sometimes forget to eat breakfast or make a packed lunch. So far I've managed to not be too bad when these situations arise (coffee shop next door to my work gave me some weetabix the morning I forgot to have breakfast) and I've walked into town and bought some salad and cold meat on the day I forgot lunch.
The day I went to buy a salad I noticed that it was really hard to find a SW style salad. I had a teeny tesco, an M&S and a waitrose to look in and couldn't find any pre packed salad that I could have! They all had either had pasta/dressing or potatoes added in! As I was on a red day, all I wanted was a plain old salad with maybe some ham. Still I ended up getting a bag of crunchy salad, a cucumber, cherry toms and some cold meat and made up my own. With enough left over for another day. Luckily that day I had a few hours off so could wander round the shops but the day I have only half an hour I'll be stuck. Anyway rant over!
The one thing doing this has made me realise is how ignorant I was when I came to food. I naively thought that by having reduced fat things or light options I was being good. Now I see that, that isn't necessarily the case. And looking at some sandwiches and pasta salads in for example tesco horrifies me! some of the lunch options can have up to half your recommended amount of fat!
Anyway WI is tomorrow night and I'm hoping to be a couple of pounds lighter, and this morning have set myself the target of 2 stone off by my 30th in september, so I'm almost half way there then hopfully can chip a away at about a pound a week
    .
Good Luck to everyone with WI's today hope you are all losers:j
