Am I alone in thinking that Quark and Fromage Frais spoil recipes? The only way I can use Quark is mixed with the Options hot chocolate sachets to make a kind of mousse dessert.

Fromage frais - I can only tolerate with a bit of sweetener in to have with strawberries. I also use it mixed in with those 2 syn jellies half and half.

Any thing I have made cooked which uses the FF or Quark I end up chucking out. Shame really - I do want to like them, just don't!!

Has anyone tried the new Weightwatcher angel delight style whip? Our consultant was saying last night it's 2 syns (not sure if thats with or without milk) for half the pack. There's a banoffee one, chocolate and strawberry but not available in my local Tesco yet.

HI larmy i use quark to make my mayo, horseraddish, phili light , laughing cow go further and you only use a little bit of syns, witch means you don't have to go without .
Like mayo a tbsp is high in syns and if you like using mayo alot , it eats into your syns:confused: ,or hoummus its high the same thing ,so thats why i use quark , by adding a little bit of what like you get alot back and once syned its free :T

peachyest - do you mean that you count the whole 2.5 syns or whatever it is for the hummus the first time you use it but then after that it's free?

Hi what she means is if you mix together 2tbsp of houmous and a tub of quark it makes the houmous go further and is a lighter version than eating all the houmous as quark is syn free so all in all it has a syn value of 3syns
