    hello everybody!
been busy with new job and son kidnapped laptop so not been logging on!

all i can RE bananas is 'THANK GOD I HATE THEM'!personally, although i think SW is a really good plan generally, the banana debate highlights it's weaknesses.if you have ONLY 1 mashed banana per day or 3 'actually chewed in your mouth' and everything else the same according to the plan then OBVIOUSLY it is better to have them mashed!!!!!like i said,i absolutely HATE them but now you all no how upset i am about the avocado situation!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
    :T:jHalf a stone off,only another 2 to go!:j:T

    Hi everyone :hello:

I came across this thread by accident, and thank goodness I did.

I’m trying desperately to lose weight, but for some reason it’s just not moving  I have a treadmill at home which I work out on burning 1000 calories a day.

I’m unable to join SW / WW as at present my finances won’t allow it (were on a DMP :o and in the process of an IVA application :o ) therefore may I join this thread for support and advice.

We are on a fixed budget :o I’ve heard it said that home cooking is cheaper than ready meals however, the problem is neither me nor my partner are into home cooking, (wouldn’t know where to begin tbh) we buy mostly ready meals for both convince, cost, and the hassle as I’m a meat eater, my partner is vegetarian

If anyone can spare the time to offer any advice, I’d be very grateful

    Morning

Weigh in today, but I'm positive I have put weight on this week. We had two Indian takeaways over the weekend, so I have no-one to blame but myself :D

We're on holiday next week, in this country in our caravan, so I will have to be careful or I will put loads back on.

I'll come back later and let you know how I get on,keep your fingers crossed for me

I think in your case, if you have to buy ready meals etc, is to calorie count and bulk out those meals with fresh or frozen veg. Low fat yoghurts or fruit if you like something sweet. Porridge or basic bran flakes for brekkie.

Get yourself to a Lidl. Their frozen veg is easily on a par with Waitrose and very cheap. Shop the market for fresh fruit and veg but bear in mind these perish more quickly, only in my opinion!

I am struggling to lose a further seven pounds myself, been following slimming world but I think I have lost my motivation. I have decided to calorie count for a month and see if that will shift a little. I will then continue with SW plan. It is a very healthy way to eat. Good luck. I am sure lots of people will have advice for you. We are all struggling at some stage. Getting motivated, getting weight off and most of all keeping weight off! Darn that chocolate.:)

    Morning gang:hello:

I feel great this morning:j. I've lost the 4lbs I had gained (told you I felt bloated:eek:) and am at least back to where I was at my lowest. As I am not on a specific plan now, I just have to be honest to myself about what I can have. I know all about calories and healthy eating and cooking and I'm using lots of SW tricks and recipes to help me.

Not expecting a loss by Thursday, but at least I feel back in control.

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats to all the losers:T and stsers:T
